I guess I used the wrong word. I am intrigued by this movie, I think Mel Gibson is pretty bold for making a movie on a controversal subject like this, and I am curious to see how well it does at the box office. I just don't really want to see it, it seems a bit, like you said, intense (plus its in another language)

i'm the stereotypical catholic... raised to hate it...

I am interested in it, but not sure I'll be able to handle it. Do I want to pay $10 to bury my face in John's shoulder the entire time? :lookaroun

Might be better as a rental for me.

MKT, not to be rude, or anything, but this isn't an epic...

BTW...WDWbabe, I believe this movie is world-wide. Hope that helps.

It's Aramaic, Hebrew and a little Latin with subtitles. And Dave, since when is it wrong to talk about Christ if talking about everything else is permissable? It doesn't have to cause trouble unless someone instigates it. I'ma go see it hopefully the weekend when it comes out.

Good point there. I don´t remember going to the movies to see any of those Lent movies. They were always on tv! I had not thought about seeing one in the big screen! Would be the first time I do it, and I can´t wait for it - I trust Mel Gibson (my man) to make a great one; even The Pope has authorized this one, as I read in the newspaper. :)

Btw, it´s "The Passion of Christ", not "of 'the' Christ". There is only one Christ. ;)
