Does anyone LIKE the Stitch/Alien idea besides me?

I enjoy Alien Encounter, but lets face it, after going on it a few times, it's pointless. After going on it 1 time, there is no reason to be scared anymore either, and to me the sound is TOO loud anyway (but I love loud music-so go figure).

I understand people liking an attraction, but we are not talking about Splash Mountain or Peter Pan here. The average park guest (and that is who Disney cares about, face the facts) probably couldn't give a rats patoot about it either. They'll be thrilled to be able to bring their child on a Buzz Lightyear and Stitch ride right in the same area.

I love Stitch as well, so unless they make a BAD ride (I don't see that happening) I say it's a WIN WIN situation. It gives me another FRESH new ride to go on, instead of a ride I would normally skip over on most visits.

Thinking back now, I realized it took me about 2 years before someone had to TELL ME, that the restraints moving up and down meant the Alien was walking around the room. I think most people don't get half the things that are going on as well. I guess that's why it was never cloned into another Disney park as well.

I'd rather have them keep Carosuel of Progress and Time Keeper over Alien, if 1 of the 3 had to go :-)

Well no you aren't the only one that is looking forward to the change but you are definately in the minority

And what's weird is I feel EXACTLY the same way about Peter Pan's Flight as you do about Alien Encounter. It's been about 3 or 4 years since we've went on PPF. Way too short for me and our family agrees that it is the Fantasyland attraction most likely to be skipped every year. I actually wouldn't mind seeing a replacement for PPF but I guess that won't happen. But to each his own.

I look forward to Stitch Encounter somewhat, but still I don't want Alien Encounter replaced. If somehow they could have two 'theatres',with one holding AE and the other Stitch. Or Timekeeper could be replaced with a Stitch attraction.

But why AE???

tell any average wdw visitor about the change, and they will probably like it.

and i agree with kevin. The story is terribly hard to follow. Theres soooo many things i had no idea about till i red them.

Good night! Why didnt anyone think of that before (Or at least post it), why not get rid of TimeKeeper?!

I mean, its only open for seasonal, its big enough to hold the Stitch attraction. In fact, they could trash that theater by the exit of Buzz, its rarely used anymore now that they have the other one set up...

One thing Ive noticed though is that PPF, one of the lowest of the low on bad attractions, surprisingly has a wait time of 60-90 mins whenever Ive walked by, scary....

trash Timekeeper! Put Stitch there!

I ment people on this board. Those that actually know a little something about Disney World. The average WDW visitor doesnt even know that Alien Encounter isn't a ride. Heck most of them had never heard of Pirates of the Caribbean until the movie came out. But don't get me started on the average WDW visitor, I could go all day.

Actually I said to put stitch in timekeeper a while back, and I don't think I was the only one (run a search). It only makes sense to me...they could do something like AE only more family friendly (maybe like some sort of science lab with all sorts of experiments). Anyways there are timekeeper fans out there...in fact the attraction wouldn't be that bad if people could somehow sit.

You're exactly right. It would be great to have two "Alien" attractions side by side. One of kids and one for grown ups. And yes I do love Timekeeper and it does have alot of fans but in all honesty it doesnt look like they are going to open up Timekeeper anyways. My gosh it's never open anymore. Not even seasonally.

Timekeeper does not deserve the ax. I think replacing Timekeeper with Stitch would be much worse than replacing Alien Encounter...mainly because Timekeeper is the "Disney message."

I still say Tiki Room.

I totally agree that The Timekeeper doesnt deserve the axe. But if they are never going to open it they might as well change it.

What they should do is have two preshow videos (one for stitch and the original one) have them on a loop that Plays original then the stitch one. Build another second preshow (rip out merchants of Venus and put that there) where it has S. I. R. as the cop and stitch in the tube so that when the stitch film plays it goes into the new room. Lets review Two videos, two preshows
Turn one room into a stitch show keep the one as it is. Build two lines out front one for scary, one for extra scary. It is a win win situation for any fan base.

Is anyone confused? No ok :hammer:

I never cared much for AE (ok, I refuse to go on it cuz i'm a big chicken) but I'm not sure that it is the best place for Stitch.

Bad attraction? Depends on whose eyes your looking through.:D
It exists because little children love it:cool:

As for Stitch, maybe they can have Dreamfinder carry him around:lookaroun

AE change seems to be getting a 50/50 vote so the "two shows " idea has merit:animwink:

I'd say from reading posts in other topics I'd say it's closer to 75/25 pro Alien Encounter right now. And there are alot of Stitch fans that want a new Stitch attraction they just don't want it to replace A.E. (so they go in the 75%).

And the two shows idea is great but Disney wouldn't spend that much money on it. I mean come on THEY WOULD HAVE TO CLOSE A GIFT SHOP. Hold on to that dream

"Big" Children love AE and that doesn't seem like its going to be in existance much longer

Just had to throw that one in. I know PPF is probably a more popular attraction with Disney fans than AE.

Another vote for someone looking forward to a Stitch Invasion. I really think that if done well, this could be a great attraction for the entire family. AE just doesn't fufill that "fun for the whole family" motto. Whenever I was there, it seemed like all the kids were terrified and all the adults didn't think it was thrilling enough. It definatly needs a fix IMO and I think Stitch would be a good one.

It started with buzz and now stitch??? Good rides but DO NOT
