there are agents walking the park i thought i was pretty clear on that.
Why would there be Secret Service agents walking the parks? Is the president, vice-president, their families, or a previous president going to visit?

Restricted air space zones dimensions

Ok...here's the scoop on the TFR'S (temporary flight restrictions) around WDW and DLR. We just got these new TFR's last hour here at work. I am an air traffic control specialist working at Raleigh AFSS where we brief pilots on weather and the such before they fly, including info on TFR's.
At WDW, effective 3pm local time 3/18/03, "Aircraft ops are prohibited at and below 3,000 ft agl within a 3 nautical mile radius of the Disney World Theme park." My complaint about this was which theme park do they mean?? I found out from my supervisor that the entrance to the MK is where the 3 miles is measured from. Same for the DLR.
So, if your are at Epcot or AK you are in a greater danger than those at the MK....just kidding, I don't think it will make that much difference.

If I here anything else I'll let everyone know.

I thought that was the point of those green army guys from toy story. (Or maybe they really are just there to scare the pants off my kids)

the secret service doesnt just protect the president. they have alot of national security resposiblities. a very good friend of mine has similiar duties in my area. i dont want to say any specific places but he goes to public areas where theres alot of people and you wouldent expect to see a secret service agent there. i was suprised when i found out about places around here, but when my girlfriend, a former cast member, told me that there were agents in WDW i asked my friend. he basically admitted it without giving me a definite answer.

My uncle, a former pilot, once told me a while ago, way before september 11, that WDW has always been a "no fly zone." Thats why I assumed you never saw planes fly over the area, except for an occasional helicoper. Has this always been true?
