New Show Idea

I know that everyone thinks that Disney has 1 to many Lion King shows, rides, shops, etc. So because Disney took out Legend of the Lion King, they need one more show for the Lion King. My idea is to have a show much like the Broadway musical The Lion King. It would be a combo. of the show and the movie. It would be called Festival Pride Rock. FPR would be in a large amphitheater much like the Hollywood Hills Amphitheater, Fantasmic! It would hold almost 1,500 people. The stage would be a huge open field/grassland to represent the Pride Lands. In the center of the field would be Pride Rock. All around it would be all of the different scenes. the show would last about 45 minutes to 1 hour. Maybe just the whole 1 hour and 22 minuted (88 minutes) The show, I think would be really cool! Tell me what ya think!

Idea is ok...but not as a Disney park attraction. The problem likes in 1) Space, and 2) Time.
1) Space. The amphitheater would be quite a large prospect, so it would need to be usable for other functions.
2) Time. Most shows in parks last about 20 minutes, going over half an hour will cause ppl to leave b/c they want to see other things before the park closes.

I think that there should be some show other than Lion King to give some other movie time in the spotlight.

The main reason they took out Legend of the Lion King is because Festival is considered the MUCH better show... (I personally liked them both). The Lion King, though a classic, is slowly losing momentum. I hear of a third movie for it and that will be the franchises last gasp.

DCA Fan is right also... the only places with space for an ampitheatre that big are MGM and AK. Guess what, MGM already has an ampitheatre, which would NEVER be converted to the Pridelands, and AK... well,... already has probably the highest rated show in the park. And if Festival of Pride Rock is done as you are saying,... what would be the point of going to Broadway to see the Tony winner, especially if it would be like the Broadway show itself.

Sorry if I sound , but I am personally getting tired of the attention LK is getting. Keep Festival... and I am happy with that.

This is the main problem with this idea

I personally would propose that Aladdin should get a show similar to the magnitude of Beauty and the Beast currently @ DS, it could sort of be a cross between B&B and Indy, being theatrical and still having stunt elements. It could be in a stadium off the Backlot a small sub area around it could be scattered with props from the animated classics.

I like all of you guys' ideas! I agree that there should be a show based on Alladin so, the name of the show is called Aladdins Magical World. It would be much like the Voyage of the Little Mermaid theater. It would have live action and a screen in the background for other things that aren't done Live! REPLY SOON!!!!!!:sohappy:

Got a better name... Aladin: Adventures in Agrabah

Follow the idea of the TV show with a leathal mix of Mosinrath, Mirage and Abismal for villians. Have it be along the line's of Indy... and put Genie on the backscreen. Better yet, make it like T2:3D and have Genie be an equal field as the live actors.

Wow, this idea is taking shape
