Hi, I thought I had read somewhere that Tusker House was turning into a character meal for lunch but I can't seem to find anything on this anymore. Has anyone eaten there lately or maybe the character lunch change hasn't started yet? Thanks.

To my knowledge it's not a character meal yet. But in case you don't know, getting a lunch reservation between 1 and 1:40 gets you a seat in the "reserved" section for the 3:15 Finding Nemo show. We did this last time we were there. The show was reasonably new, popular and crowded, and we did the rookie mistake of getting on line without realizing they had separated the line; there were hundreds of guests in a second line 50 feet away shooting daggers with their eyes! 
So when I heard about the reserved seating option, I changed our reservation time and jumped at the opportunity. Worth it. Good food, nice staff, and the reserved seating was the icing on the cake.

Thanks. Sounds like it will be busy since they no longer provide the nemo reserv part. Hope the food is still good as I'm reading about.

So the Nemo reserved seating will work up until the 4th? I'm not even sure what "Nemo" thing you are referring to. The Musical?

the seating we refer to is that for those dining between 1:00 and 1:40 pm, you are given a ticket for reserved seating for the Finding Nemo: the Musical show at 3:15. there is a separate entrance so you don't stand in the long line. and yes, this is still available through the third. i have done this seating every time since i found out about it, i obviously feel it is worth it. have you ever seen the line to get into nemo? did you ever get turned away because theater was full? both very unpleasant. we don't arrive until about 15 minutes before show (yeah, i know they say to get there earlier, never had a problem) and get great seats in the front. sadly, this entire conversation is not academic as this program is ending. but the lunch at tusker house is still great.

indeed. as for the nemo seating, it is quite worth the time. It's a shame that the character lunch will put this dining package to an untimely end.

Well, for now I have a reservation for 7 at 1:30 before the with happens, so should be good. Curious about the African cuisine.
