I would LOVE to stay at the Grand Floridian. I love the whole feel of the resort, it's close to the MK and it has great restaurants.

But I will probably not stay in ANY Deluxe Resort for a while! :(

I've stayed in the Contemporary, The Polynesian, The Boardwalk Inn and the Wilderness Lodge. Our favorite, by far, is the WL...we have stayed there about 8 times (lost count  ).

We just love the theming, atmosphere and the relaxing boat ride to the MK. Lets not forget The Whispering Canyon Cafe & Artist Point! :sohappy:

Has to be the WL for when we haven't been out west in a while and want to enjoy the best ambience of any resort (imho), and the GF for when we want to be pampered, have the convenience of the monorail, and the romance of watching the castle an fireworks from our patio.

although i have never stayed at a deluxe resort i like to look around them and one of my faves was contemporary. i just like the way its close to MK and you can see wishes from a tower room MK side.

i also liked the AKL i would say that would be my fave resort if the poll was on themeing coz with all the brown features it just feels very warming to me!!:)

Wife and I LOVE the Boardwalk. Great access to MGM and Epcot. Flying Fish and Spoodles restaurants. Jellyrolls dueling piano bar. ESPNZone. Great main pool with a water slide, but also a totally seperate quiet pool on the other side of the hotel. Great setting, right on the water. The only other deluxe we've stayed at is WL, and that's a great hotel as well. Our main turn-off there was the racket from Whispering Canyon down in the lobby, and Boardwalk just had more entertainment options right there, including easy walking access to Epcot at night for dinner, drinks, and or the fireworks.

You are going to love it! Don't forget to have a cup of coffee or tea in one of the big rockers in the lovvy either late at night or early morning...so peaceful.

Our only complaints with the Boardwalk Inn were the food chocies (my family is kinda picky) and the bus transportation...shared by 5 hotels, but I understand that is now changed. Loved the walk to EPCOT and the boat rode to MGM.

We've never been bothered by the noise from the WCC, but then we have never stayed in the lobby area.

Food choices compared to WL? Isn't there just WC and AP at WL, or did they add another restaurant? I thought the combo of ESPNZone, the microbrewery (always forget the name), Spoodles, and Flying Fish covered most of the bases from low-end to high-end. But I agree about WL's setting, with the rocking chairs by the big fireplace, and the lobby itself is very impressive visually. I think a big aspect of this poll comes down to what themes people are most attracted to.

I love Yacht (and equally Beach) Club. My favorite park and part of the park is World Showcase in Epcot. It is practically next door!!! I love the ambiance, and the POOL!!!!!!

It's a tie. I love the Poly's atmopshere but the view we had of MK from our balcony at Grand Floridian was great. I'm still looking forward to staying in a Contemporary MK view room.

Sorry,Contemporay doesn't even compare to the Grand Floridian. I stayed At the GF 3 weeks ago and will probably stay again when I go back in Jan. The service is fantastic. I've stayed at the BC and the AKL and both of those resorts are moderate compared to the GF

I absolutely love the Grand Floridian. It is so beautiful and I love the location. Last year we had a great view of Cinderella's Castle and I could actually lay in the bed and watch the fireworks from my room. We will be returing there in December.:xmas: I have also stayed at the WL in the past to which is also very nice, but the GF is my favorite.
