Today Disneyland revealed the full details of this year's summer lineup, featuring a new parade, brand-new rides, and the new additions to the Disneyland Hotel

(April 2011) – Disney excitement of all kinds – from under the sea, to down Main Street, U.S.A., and to a galaxy far, far away – arrives at Disneyland Resort in summer 2011. Several highly anticipated attractions and entertainment experiences will make their debuts, enhancing all the fun and adventure that create memories for guests throughout the year at the Disneyland Resort. Highlights of this Soundsational Summer include the latest milestone in the expansion of Disney California Adventure park, The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel’s Undersea Adventure, plus the sensational new 3D excursions of Star Tours and the exciting new “Mickey’s Soundsational Parade” in Disneyland park.

This is going to be a very big summer for DLR. Its going to be fantastic to see a lot of the walls in DCA finally removed well from Paradise Pier at least. Even more exciting to finally have a real 21st century parade at DL again.

Looks like an eventful few days, and leave it to DLR to once again host the media in a great way, I'm sure the grand opening shows will be just as great.

Editor's Note 5/25: Amongst all the frenzy over Star Tours and Little Mermaid, don't forget that the new Soundsational Parade has a media premiere Thursday at 2pm, before it opens officially Friday at 4 and 6:30pm. And this Saturday at 10am Madamemoiselle Antoinette's Parfumerie in New Orleans Square cuts the ribbon on a time machine back to 1960's Disneyland as Walt knew it. He isn't kidding! In all the craziness over Star Tours and Mermaid, I had almost forgotten about the new parade! I'm going to try to get there for the second one tomorrow at 4:30.

And the new (old) parfumerie too?! I wonder if they'll mix mens cologne too?

We’re just days away from the official kick-off of “Disney Soundsational Summer!” here at the Disneyland Resort – it all begins June 3. Wow! What a summer it will be! Your adventures begin under the sea at The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel’s Undersea Adventure at Disney California Adventure park. You’ll board a pastel-colored “clam shell” and become part of Ariel’s world in this soon-to-be classic Disney “dark ride” – part of the magical transformation of Disney California Adventure park.

Over at Disneyland park, you’ll take off to a galaxy far, far away with more than 50 different 3D adventures on Star Tours. You’ll be transported to many Star Wars destinations where you’ll come face to face with characters throughout the Saga. Buckle up!
And if that’s not enough, I’m really excited to see “Mickey’s Soundsational Parade.” This exciting parade brings a new beat to the streets of Disneyland park, as guests go on a journey of sound, with an exciting musical score, thrilling rhythms and bold percussion.
