This new Cars 2 Meet N' Greet pavilion thing just sort of popped up out of nowhere at DCA late last week. It's very nicely themed, and has all the Cars 2 signage and mentions of the "World Grand Prix" and the plotline of the upcoming new Cars movie.
Mater and the updated version of Lightning McQueen appear in this paddock area, and according to the Photopass girl I chatted with, it's going to be there for about 9 months and was built with big sliding doors that can be closed up when parades go by. Very clever!
It sits right at what will be the entrance to Cars Land in 2012, as seen from the patio of the Blue Sky Cellar with the sprawling Cars Land construction beyond.
And as seen from afar high atop Mickey's Fun Wheel, this new Cars 2 photo spot tucks in right off the DCA parade route, and right next to the big construction area that will become the ride path for Mater's Junkyard Jamboree in 2012.
A very nice lil' photo op and movie promotion that has been cleverly designed to break up the construction walls in a tight corner of Constructionland. Great job TDA! :sohappy:
