EE being vandalized before Grand Opening...

Well...it didn't take long, did it?

Went on EE yesterday... and to my amazement, parts of the queue have already been trashed and 'stolen'.

It wouldn't hurt me in the least to shut 'er down for another month or so to keep this from happening!

First pic is a before shot of the tea behind the caged doors inside the queue during AP previews...

This is what it looks like now...

Here's a shot of the cans next door to the tea...

I didn't take a pic of the lightbulbs, but they're all torn and ripped apart too. If there wasn't any cage, they'd all be missing.

As I entered the museum (the very first room with the bed and supplies), the first thing I noticed was many...MANY of the 'quick-links' missing from the column. Mind you, these were screwed a min of twice per link... and I thought that was pretty sad...

Then, low and behold... look what I found just seconds after I passed by...

:fork:

OH!... I was ed! ... so I began taking photos of them! LOL. I figured they'd get the hint if I took enough pics of them!

It's really sad to see that the attraction has UNOFFICIALLY been open for less than a month, and already many of the very intricate props have been vandalized.

I hate people like this. Has anyone noticed Space Mountain's queue now? It's in terrible shape too. Maybe now Disney has excuses to not make great queues anymore.

It take a real low life to do stuff like this.

I played with the chain links a bit, but I did not take any. These people show no respect and assume the price of the ticket entitles them to a piece of the ride.

There are signs like this all over the place.

...and I keep wondering when they'll finish the water feature in the queue!...

What exactly are they doing? I havent ridden yet and was hoping to next month during my spring break. Is the damage like something they can fix over night or is it a little more than that. I dont understand why people do these things, its stupid and pointless.

Oh yea, and the SM que, definatly has been in bad shape. Somebody wrote something quite innappropriate on one of the signs you see when you're walking up, and the next day or so, disney had to put tape over almost the entire picsture. It really irks my nerves to see this.

First...please tell me you smacked the crap outa those kids! I would've hauled both of them out of the queue and straight to a CM.

Second...I hear that the water feature around the queue area will be working before long.

I had the impression that it was SUPPOSED to look unfinished...? Well, not unfinished, just aged.

:veryconfu

I guess not?

There were a lot of well thought-out props for placement inside the queue line.

Many of them were unique for the ride itself... IE: the special printing for the label on the outside of a box of tea... called ... "Ye-TEA" (get it?)

I don't expect the attraction to be 100% like on opening day... But GEEEZ!... Give it at least a couple months or so before you start de-facing.

Maybe the CM who stands at queue-entry could just hand out Sharpies to everyone?... That would save a lot of time, you know.

I stand by my digust for current guest behavior. It really makes no sense to me whatsoever (and, granted, it's far from a Disney-only issue). I really would like their address so I can come take some food out of their fridge, a couple pictures off the wall. Not like I'm hurting anything, right?

Ironically, Sharpie and WDC are apparently pairing up for a marketing strategy. I think we should take the blocks off the faces and make some internet postings (I know legally that's not allowed, but would be nice to make some fun websites at jacka$$es.com)

I think, essentially, it all boils down to boredom. I would be willing to bet a LOT of money that most of the defacing is dome by teenage males. Instead of being patient, they feel the need to destroy something. It's actually kind of sad.

This is all coming from a teenage male, by the way. For some reason, I've never been compelled to destroy art, though.

Long time no see, Lee! anywhos... THAT called for some serious embarassment. I was like Mango on SNL in a photo-shoot! Everyone around me was like 'what the hell is THAT guy's problem?!?'... They knew I was taking pics of them specifically...

(BTW... that is NOT Rob on the left of the pic. Just someone who looked a LOT like him... He did show-up in the fast-pass queue later though.)

Now that you mention it, it does seem like they're pairing up. I got a free Sharpie from a Sharpie tent at the Downtown Disney Art Festival. There were a couple of the tents giving them out, and even a car that had a Sharpie design.

The water feature is done. It's supposed to look dried out.

I'm not a big fan of violence, but I agree with Lee in supporting a thorough beat-down of anyone seen vandalizing EE (or any Disney property fo r that matter).
