We bought a Pal Mickey on our last trip in 2004. We are going back in October and wanted to know if he will still work or do we need to upgrade?

Thanks
David

OOPS. Just noticed that I posted this in News and Rumors. Don't know how to move this to General Discussion. Sorry!:hammer:

Version 1 of Pal Mickey will auto update with the parades and such, just like the Version 2, but he will not talk about new rides. Just like you did back in 2004, when you walk through the turnstiles he will update, if not hit the store and they will update him.

awful expensive football, I don't think there are enough new rides to justify getting a new one, in my opinion.

I have a V.2 myself, was debating getting a v.1 off ebay, but hubby said lets get the v.2 instead

They sell new clothes for Pal Mickey now. He could be dressed as a cool pin trader, get stuck in the rain with his poncho and boots, hit the wild in his safari gear or be dressed like a club member

I have a couple Pal Mickey questions:

1. I doubt this is the case, but do they happen to interact with the cruise ships at all?

2. How much do they cost currently? I've heard a few different price quotes...

Pal Mickey only works in Walt Disney World.

I believe the HCOE edition is now $65. His newly released clothes are $10 a set. There are four sets.

1.0 will continue to work but will only be able to say what he said when he was programmed. i.e. No Stitch, Soarin', EE, etc. But yeah, he will still work.

HCOE Mickey is $65, we just got him in December. You can try and find a cheaper one on e-bay, but last time I checked there were none, only the V.1

I know he does at least say things about Soarin, though it seems next to never that it happens. One of the Pal Mickey Group members did get a message but the trigger is either faulty or it's in a bad location because it doesn't ever activate PM. I believe he is ready for EE sayings but those triggers have not yet been activated. They knew EE was opening as part of the HCOE so they would have been able to get 2.0 ready for EE phrases well in advance even if those triggers aren't active yet. I must say though, I'm surprised he doesn't have Stitch comments though.

I got pal mickey v 1 Last year from a disney outlet store in Destin, FL... They were going for dirt cheap back then, because they have sooo many left over. They still work, and do have a couple of games you can play outside of the parks..

My V.2 mentioned Stitch and Everest, we had to walk past EE in order to get out of the park and he started shaking, he just was saying something general about it since it still had the wall around it.
