URGENT NEWS FROM WDW!!
My friend has recently been to wdw and has recieved a pamphlet about E:E which has said the height, speed, and drop of this ride. He has reported that the drop is 200 ft. the speed while going forward is 100 mph.! The total height of this ride meaning just the mountain is 500 feet tall. Their is a section which has a hologram that it looks like the rides is just going to keep going up the mountain, except it stops and u go back down the mountain. This is all the info for now but this is definitly true and very exciting!

More urgent news: You or your friend lied or were lied to. The mountain is 199 feet tall not 500. The top speed is 55 mph not 100. And the drop is 80 feet not 200. Also there are no holograms in the ride.

It is very true and i know this because my friend has personaly recieved this information while in disney

Sorry, but it isn't true. The mountain is 199ft tall, drop is 80feet, and the max speed is 55mph.

It would be different and very extreme, is their any possibility that you could get your friend to scan this and then email it to your self to upload it?

*pictures a 500ft mountain at WDW*

Man, that would be something to see. As would this "pamphlet" your friend supposedly received at WDW. Sorry, you and/or your friend have been terribly mislead.

nothing in disney is more than 199 feet so they dont have to put a red beacon light on top and ruin the facade of anytihng disney..if they hit 200 then the have to by law place a light.
nice try though

The 80 ft. drop height has been known for some time--not 200 ft. The mountain can't be 500 ft. tall for two reasons: First, the mountain can't be over 199 ft. tall without having an airplane beacon on top of it. That would totally destroy the theming at night, and is the same reason why the Tower of Terror is 199 ft. tall. Second, I've been there and seen the mountain--it's big, just not nearly that big. As for the speed, Rock 'n Rollercoaster is a launched coaster, and it only reaches 60-ish. Everest will be a gravity coaster, so I really don't see how it could possibly be 100 mph at any given time.

It could be true if it was back in the 1920's instead of today. Advertisements exaggerated true stats of rides quite a bit I think. Seeing that its 2005, if Disney did release such a pamplet people would pay for park admission and then sue for false advertisement.

Thats not entirely true. There are some structures in WDW that are over 200 feet tall and have a red light on top. The Epcot Wand, and the WDW Dolphin are examples.

I think this is completely believable, because it goes along with a pamphlet I received about the latest comstruction pictures:

My pamphlet said that Disney has been planting 130-ft. tall trees, building 150-ft. tall village buildings, and inviting 35-ft. tall guests to walk past. Given this information, a 500-ft. mountain seems totally logical.:hammer:
