I don't get it. They are going to do all this goofy castle thing all year long
that will take away from the true beauty of a building, thats it?
Thats all you have to give the public Disney?
Its friggin Magic Kingdom's Birthday, a milestone birthday next year. Celebrate that all year. What are you thinking?
Fire them all!!! That darn marketting dept

Sigh. If we want to get technical the Magic Kingdom's birthday is not until a year from now. Oct 2011 - Oct 2012.

Since the recent trend is each campaign going on for 2 years it's not unlikely we'll see the shift to something like "40 years of memories" by next Oct. People need to relax.

Disneys track record is to take advantage of Birthdays and what not and make it a year long thing. See Walts 100 YOM celebration

would rather see something like that than this junk

And the year for MK's birthday is still a year away.

The 25th anniversary celebration didn't begin on Jan 1, 1996, it began on Oct 1, 1996 and ran all the way into 1998.

I hated the cake castle. If you go very year maybe it'd be OK. But when you rarely get to go you want to see the real castle. Besides this thing looks cheap and gawdy.
