I understand why everyone dislikes this but maybe you are not the target demo. Who knows this maybe a huge seller that can help bring some funds in for something better in the park. And I'm all for that :wave:!

Not just sayin' it because I love dolls & bears so much..... But isn't it sorta unfair to hate something before you've actually seen it? It's like I tell my boys every day, "If you go into something saying you hate it then guess what? You don't stand a chance of liking it." :wave:
They used to sell him in Once Upon a Toy. I haven't been in there in years so I don't know if they still have him.

Really people!?!
I don't like Star Wars stuff... never liked the movies... don't like the merch... but I don't go around complaining about it and throwing around "vomit" smileys! Just b/c I don't like it doesn't mean the stuff isn't popular or isn't liked by someone else. In fact I'm happy when WDW puts out merch that is popular, unique, and sells well (even if *gasp* I don't like it)!
Disney Bear (Duffy) will have its following and it may just sell well if they promote it the right way at Disney World!
Is that really a problem for some of you!?!

That's pretty much how I see it. I am definitely not the target demographic for this thing, but don't mind him being in the parks raking in $ and causing people to stand in lines I won't be in. Sounds like a winner.

I'd say that's a pretty large target demo! :animwink:

I am okay with the idea of this. Why not? My only gripe is, why is the actual bear so ugly? It's such a poor design. It's not even SLIGHTLY cute. And I am pretty sure Duffy IS the Disney Bear, only with a sailor outfit. The title of the books is Duffy: The Disney Bear. If they give us a better design (one that looks like the art work) I will get him.

I'm pretty sure I've read that Duffy is bigger with a different backstory. He's not the same as the Disney Bear that has been around forever. Someone in some other thread said the name of the Disney Bear but I can't remember it. :shrug:

Doll collector...check. Teddy Bear collector...just starting and hope to start designing my own artist bears in the coming weeks so...check. Children...I'm a kid at heart which totally counts...check. People who like bears with hidden Mickeys on them...what can be better than something I love paired with something else I love???...big ol' fat check!
And might I add that there are clothes and accessories and the possibility of sewing and creating fun stuff for Duffy which is my favoritest part ever!!!!!
Um...not exactly. I wasn't too hip on the orginal FLE plans yet I'm totally psyched on Duffy. I've wanted one for a while (since I read the little blurb about him in Jack Spence's blog on Allears from a Tokyo trip) but wasn't willing to pay what they were going for on eBay.
I wish I knew how much they're gonna cost! I'd send someone who's going to the even some money!!!!!
