Let me start off by apologizing to anyone who followed my past PTR and TR (“Is there anything in my teeth?”) from last year. I never finished it because it was just too hard with my old job. I never had time to work on it and transfer pictures. But I am attempting it again, since now I have more time to work on them with my new job.
So I’ll get started with the list of characters. And when I say characters, I mean my family is a group of characters all on our own. This was a trip my DH and I were supposed to take alone to see the Christmas decorations. It was also supposed to be our last trip for a while because eventually we were going to start to try to have a baby and just figured we would wait until the baby would be 3 or 4. When we mentioned this, my parents decided they wanted to go. Then my sister, her hubby, and her 3 kids decided so did they. Well this trip has changed at least 6 times so far, before it was finalized. Originally we were driving down on Thanksgiving to Savannah, eating turkey dinner at Paula Deen’s restaurant (I’m obsessed with her!), staying over, and then driving to Orlando the next day. Then we were staying at a hotel that Friday and Saturday and then checking into SSR through renting DVC points from Sunday 11/28-12/5. But when we started looking at the prices to rent a 15 passenger van and the money for hotels, I decided to mention flying because it just seemed cheaper and a lot easier.
Well we changed hotels and ideas a million times before settling on these final plans:
Thursday 11/25-Thanksgiving->1. We are flying out of Philly on Airtran Airways at 1:03pm. 2. Renting a minivan for only 11/25-11/28 and staying at a condo called Grand Palms. It’s one of those ones you can rent that sleeps like 10 people. Really nice and REALLY cheap!
Sunday 11/28->1. Returning minivan 2. Checking into SSR, again we are renting points through DVC for a studio for my parents and a 2 bedroom for the rest of us.
OK, I had to explain that before the characters!
Me- Courtney, psychotic Disney freak and planner, got engaged here, honeymooned, and had 2st anniversary. I’ve been coming here for like 21 years or so.
DH-Mike, not so much a Disney fan. We’ve been to Disney the past 5 years in a row, so he’s sick of it but that’s what happens when he proposes at the Happiest Place on Earth!
DM- Carole, my mom, she will go along with anything
DF-Caesar, my dad, still up in the air if he is going or when he is going because he doesn’t want to leave his dog!
DS-Carole Ann, my sister, not much to say about her, she’s just a lot of fun to be with
DB-Anthony, my brother in law, almost as big of a Disney freak as me!
DN-Chynna, my niece, second year college student who can get a bit snippy if she gets annoyed with something
DNe-Anthony, my nephew, also my godson, who is not a big fan of any scary or crazy rides
DNe-Santino, my other nephew, loves sports and is thrilled to go on an airplane. Did I mention that DS, DB, and DNe Ant are all deathly afraid to fly. They always drive down to Disney so the boys have never been on a plane. They actually think that they are going to have to semi-drug Lil Ant to even get into the airport!
The Peanut-Here is the surprise 10th guest. Back in July I found out that I am pregnant with our first child. Totally unplanned! But I’m glad it happened because now this really is getting in my last trip for a while! When we go I will be about 6 months pregnant so that should be fun.
This also brings up the other part of the title. When I found out, my sister was so excited that she plans on buying out everything at Disney! I mean I do too but she’s gonna go nuts! I am finding out what it is so that we have an idea of things to buy! I’m even naming it something to do with Disney. See I told you I’m a freak!

One minute he is going and leaving with us, the other he is driving down with his dog and keeping him at the new Best Friends Resort, and then he’s meeting us down there. So who knows!
