Umm... well I guess it's like Main Street so I will start with attractions someone needs to do stores and also we need food and theme.

Castle- Beasts Castle(Half Dark, Half Bright) <-- If you've played Kingdom Hears, imagine one side covered in the dark and one side bright. Cool transitions between each.
or
Beasts Castle Bright but with Bald Mountain Peeking out of the distance with forced perspective and all. (I think a new swirling cloud effect would be cool to!)

Dark Side-Need more here
Alice in Wonderland(New One), Kuka Arm
Night on Bald Mountain, (Flying Coaster)

Bright Side-Need to take away here
Little Mermaid Dark Ride
Peter Pan Dark Ride
Mr. Toads Wild Ride (Re-imagined)
Cinderella's Regal Carousel
Dumbo the Flying Elephant
It's a Small World
Mary Poppins Ride Possibly

^Those are our starters.

Ok. I think we should try to shy away from clones for the dark rides in Fantasyland. There are so many possibilities that I don't think we need to use ones already created. There is Beauty and the Beast, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Sword in the Stone, just to name a few. Plus we can re-imagine some like a Dwarve Diamond mini-coaster or something instead of Snow White's Scary Adventures.

And what do you guys think about a Bald Mountain type of attraction. Maybe even go with a darker Fantasyland theme, especially if we use Beast's Castle, before the change.

Just some initial ideas.

I agree. We should do two sub areas in Fantasyland. One bright and the other dark. We could have beasts castle and like in Kingdom Hearts how you have to make all of Beasts castle bright, one side is dark inside and the other bright. Anyway, it'll also be a neat looking phase all through Fantasyland for the transition. I'll edit the rides and attractions above and make possibility attractions and definite ones.

I mentioned my Bald Mountain Ride idea in the Marvel thread, and I think a dark ride/coaster, like the Mummy would work really well for it. Basically, you start riding through many of the lighter scenes in Fantasia, but the dark sides of Fantasia always pop up leading to an exciting ride.

I think some sort of Darker ride using Maleficent would be good for a Sleeping Beauty attraction.

I may be wrong, but I think Kuka Arms would work better for Peter Pan than Alice, just for the use of flight.

Also, two properties that may fit Fantasyland well, but may not, are Mary Poppins and Bedknobs and Broomsticks.

The only reason that I did not use the kuka arm for Peter Pan was because I saw PP as a kids attraction and I don't think they kids would like the straps or whatever the kuka arm has. I also saw the boat as a keeper for the attraction.

I am working on a map of the park also and right now am doing main street.

Alice in Wonderland
2 Parts in the middle of fantasyland and help with the division of the area

One-Dard ride based off of the Original movie. Re-imagined version of what is in D-land.

Side Two-Alice in Wonderland(Needs a name because you cnat have two attractions both named Alice in Wonderland) This uses the Kuka arm to move you past mainly screens and some live sets.

Like the Bald Mountain ideas. Not sure Alice in Wonderland deserves two attractions though.

A question to think about. Do we want the entrance to the land to be good or evil? Because I think we should have the entrance be one and the back be the other. Maybe entrance be good and the back, with Bald Mountain looming in the distance, be evil or something.

Probably an expanded section in the back should be evil, or have one of what would be the Tomorrowland or Liberty Square side be evil and the other be good.

Not really sure if Alice needs two attractions either. Though if we went with it, I think something like The Red Queen's Revenge could work, by basing it on the new movie that portrays a much bleaker Wonderland.

What do you think of a Mary Poppins and/or Sleeping Beauty attraction?

I think our dark fantasyland should extend the themed of a medieval village with Bald Mountain above it. So I think the Sleeping Beauty ride would be great. I see Fantasyland as a land for the classic animated movies so I don't think Marry Poppins fits here at all. I still think Fantasyland as all dark could work as well.

Um, I will work on the theming of the land for right now. Remember so far we are still in the process of developing the rides and theme. We can cut, add, and paste. Lather, rinse, repeat, condition... :lookaroun Wait a second...

I think a light village/dark village probably works best for the two lands.

Also, I know they're splitting up the Fantasyland projects, I'm guessing we have to really get the light part done first, considering we're using IASW, and just have a skeleton for the dark for us to work on later?

Sounds best, for our Light side we should have a big outside facade for IASW. I'm never very attracted to WDW's just because it's so small.

I know we're not supposed to plan Castles now, but if we're thinking of going with Beauty and the Beast, should we make the village I guess 18th/19th century French. I think a bookshop facade for one of the shops would be nice as well.

For the when we get to the Darkside, I think we should probably go with a Beauty and the Beast ride of some kind as well.

Umm... I will think of that. We also have to right up the stories for rides. If you want a ride to be a copy, say so. If you don't right a story and we all will or won't depending on how everyone feels about doing so. If you want to write your own attraction by yourself, say so and then we will all put input when you post it.
