NO!!! The last 3 or 4 trips my 5 year old didnt gve pal mickey a look. Now this past trip he asked for one. He carried it around for a day and didnt put it down. Mickey had to do everything he did. Day 2 he carried about half of the time. Day 3 it stayed in the room till it was time to return home. It did have some good sayings and was amazing how it had something to say on just about every ride or attraction. But overall it wasnt worth the price. Oh yea its heavy too and the batteries were dead on the 2nd day.

My daughter loved the Pal Mickey we bought- once we got home he went in her bed with her for nighttime- she didn't want to part with it- We are getting the "newer" one the next time we go to WDW.
I know some people say it's not worth it but I thought it was a great thing- kept us occupied while waiting in lines (when there were lines) and we got to hear silly jokes all the time...It was great.

Is it worth it? Hell yeah. Tons of fun. I bought mine back in April 2004 (see some fun photos here.) I took him with me about a dozen times (I was a passholder that year) and had so much fun each time.

The new HCOE one is even better from what my friends who got one have told me. They all had the first (like mine) and they got him as well. I want the new one too. Next time I go, he's so mine.

I've never changed the batteries. I've never had problems with him. He works perfect. I even made him is own pin lanyard and filled it with Mickey pins.

It's a lot of fun. It really is. I bought him for me (I'm 28) and I've loved having him. When I'm not at Disney, he's sitting here on my pc desk and I look at him and smile every time.

If you do get a new one and are a AP holder dont forget to go to The Hat at MGM and get the passholder t shirt for him. Its free but the cms dont know anything about them. You have to ask.

My 6 year old loved his. My 3 year old didn't pay much attention to his. Which was fine because I found myself strapping him to my ear to hear all the mouse talk. I thought they were fun for a visit to each park. After that, it was something else to carry. :D

OK nobody laugh...I am 34 and bought a Pal Mickey (version 1.0) at World of Disney in New York. When we went down to WDW last month, I bought the new version. We loved him. His jokes were corny, but made us laugh during the long waits in lines. He even shook during the Haunted Mansion ride and told me he was scared. I don't have any kids....I'm the big kid. My Pal also has clothes and shoes. He has a biker outfit, a pilot outfit, a skateboarding outfit, complete with skateboard and helmet, and a Florida Gators shirt and jeans. I guess I need to get a life. His batteries did go out on the second day of use, but I had new ones in the park with me and he easily opens up with a coin. I think he is worth every penny!

Yes, Pal Mickey is worth it!

We bought one for my 3 year old niece last Christmas and she liked it just because it's Mickey, but the Adults were fighting over who got to listen to it!

It's in Atlanta now, but it will be down here with me next week, I can't wait for it to come back!

By the way, we paid $60 for it at the Corronado Springs Resort Gift Shop.

I recommend it!

I was thinking of buying him for my next trip.. Do you think its worth it or is it cheezy?

Pal Mickey IS worth it! I was wishing that Disneyland would get one since we live on the west coast, so when we finally got a chance to go with my 6 year old daughter, we couldn't WAIT to get one! We got the version right before the newest anniversary version. Ours was great to have around for detailed info, and my daughter was hugging him as she slept too. The only downside was that our version was a little too quiet in the parks at times, but the newest version seems like they increased the volume. We paid $60 for it at the All Star Music resort's guest shop. I looked for Pal Mickey before heading to WDW, but was only able to find some on Ebay at close to $50 (with shipping that was $60!), so we decided to wait until we got to WDW to get one. Definitely get the new anniversary version at WDW. Don't get any others that you may find on Ebay.

Buy one off of ebay really cheap. If it does'nt work, take it to the pal mickey store on Main Street and they'll give you a new one. At least that's what my uncle did.:lookaroun You'll probably see him on the news one day.

If i told you guys some of the stories......
Opps... Sorry off topic! But yea, it worked! Payed five bucks for a non-working Pal Mickey and got a new one free! Some People.....:lookaroun

Does any one had a site were I buy him or do I have to get him in Disney World?

You can try Main Street Megastore or Laughing Place, but they will cost you an arm, a leg, and all of your vital organs.

If I were you, I'd a) wait till I get to my resort or b) Call WDW Mail Order.
