The Happiest Celebration on Earth Interactive Glow Medllions are now on sale!

They're only sold in stores where you'll "officially" find Pal Mickey sold as well.

It's a gold mouse-ear shaped thingy with a blue bkacground and gold logo castle set into the large mickey-circle. It can be worn as a pin or comes with a neckstrap/lanyard it can clip onto. It says Walt Disney World in blue text at the bottom and the rest is outlined in tiny gold LED's. 15 to be exact. Then around the castle it has larger red, green, and blue LEDs.

It works just like the old Magic Moment pins, but is now minus the glassy-face finish. The package says it for folks age 5+, it has 18 lights, and can do 10 different light shows.

Pushing Pal Mickey's hand in the vicinity makes it do one of the light shows. Retail price is $15.02, it comes with spare batteries, an on/off switch on the back, and button on the side to make it blink whenever you want.

Any photos anywhere? I was gonna get one of those light up pins that interact with the parades and shows, but if THIS is better...

I think this replaces those (it functions in the same way, but with more lights now).

Cool note: the mickey-outline of gold lights can blink all together or in sections.

Ooooooo I have to get two. One to wear at the parks and one for a christmas tree ornament. :D Do they really interact with the paredes lighting?

I picked one up yesterday along with the 50th Pal Mickey. So far, it activated for a sequence on Peter Pan's Flight and I think one other ride, but I can't remember which out of the ones I went on yesterday with my kids. It also lights when you press the Pal Mickey's right hand, which has a miniature version of the glow medallion on it. I didn't watch the parades so I don't know if they react for the parades or not, but they most likely do. I'm keeping it in my car to experiment with at the other parks now.

LOL don't even tease. I've had an awful week :p

Okay so if i am not mistaken, these replace the previous "light up" pins that reacted to parades/fireworks/special events, AND interact with the new Pal Mickey, am I correct?

Where in WDW can you buy them? *STILL WANTS TO SEE A PHOTO* :p

This is also in our photo post, and is very bad of me, but that is the lovely glowing medallion that is circled. It did go off in a few rides, like Peter Pan right as we went in the nursery, and in Haunted Mansion under the little blue lady (Leota the imagineer) who says "Hurry baaaack. Hurry baaaack. Be sure to bring your death certificate if you decide to join us."
It also went off five minutes before Spectromagic (we were nowhere near the parade itself) and when the parade started. We don't have a PalMickey (yet) so I don't know how the two interact.
