Rode Dinosaur a few times today and noticed the Styracosaurus is missing. Where it normally stands is large camouflage netting.

Not sure what the nature of its disappearance is, anybody have info?

If not I'll have to ask around.

I actually noticed that too, rode it twice and it was odd to hear the audio, look around and... oh, well at least the raptor's coming up.

I was so confused at first, how could I miss it!

That's why I rode again, just to be sure. And yup, sure enough there was the netting

Styracosaurs were herbivorous dinosaurs. :lookaroun

Not sure I would still want to take my chances in AK at night....my favorite color is green after all and might be mistaken for plant life....er...you are rather of a greenish hue yourself...:lookaroun...besides....how do WE know that an omnivore conversion has not transpired....be wary of those EMH....:animwink::D....

Hoping to not see thread titled Park Guests missing from Animal Kingdom.....

Actually, paleontologists now believe the Ceratopsids like Styracosaurus and Triceratops were omnivores. Kinda like giant reptilian pigs with horns.

:eek::eek: OMGoodness....I am not being paranoid after all....just because one stomach's contents were divulged to determine diet does not directly imply mass conformity....as I do personally know veggies that reverted back to carnivore status...:ROFLOL:

I posted this in my trip report thread. The 1st carnotaurus also wasn't there a couple weeks ago. Not sure what the deal is with the Styracosaurus, the narration is there but the Dinosaur is not.

Computer: Nothing to see here. There has never been anything to see here, nor will there ever be anything to see here.

Seeker: Definitely not our Dino!

The netting is always there, just can't normally see it... After all he's all neck....:lookaroun

Did ya'll know that the final carnotaurus has a non-animated double, which hides above the iguanadon? When the carnotaurus is out for repairs, the double is used and the lighting adjusted so you can only see the head.

Dinosaur is a cool ride to walk with the lights on - too bad i couldn't take photos :(

I took some photos on last weeks ride evac. One of the cool things was that across from the Carnotaurus where they take your picture, they keep the replacement to the charging Carnotaurus. It's not lit, but when the lights are on you can see it's head.
