I started this tradition 3 years ago with my very first post. Since then, Zac and DarkImage4 have stepped up and held it the past two years, and I'd hate to see the streak end now.
So once again, here it is: This will be the 4th annual WDWMagic March Madness tournament. For those of you who may have forgotten or haven't seen it before, here's how it works: 64 attractions are placed into a single-elimination bracket. Half of the attractions are eliminated each round by YOUR votes, until only one is left.
Boring info, if you want to know how I did it this time: I picked 64 attractions and seeded them all from 1 to 16, based on popularity, warm fuzzies and my mood at the moment. (All 3 previous winners of this thing were given the benefit of #1 seeds). I included all the biggies from the 4 parks, and then made a few arbitrary sleections among the smaller attractions. I also made a special "extra-park" exception for the Monorail, because...let's face it...it kicks bootie, "official" attraction or not.
Then I filled out the four brackets by randomly picking an attraction and placing it in the first bracket. The next attraction was placed in the next bracket, and so on "around the horn." If an attraction's seed was already taken in its intended bracket, it was placed in the next bracket. These matchups, then, are all random, to some extent.
It's easy to play. You just vote for a winner in EACH matchup, and once voting is ended, I tally up the numbers and see who advances to the next round. Rounds will probably run 2 or 3 days each, depending on how this goes. I'll try to give a "last call" each round before closing the voting.
