well, i got another load to orlando, this time delivering even closer to disney then the last, but this time, i went. WOOHOO

keep in mind, i used to go every xmas for 2 weeks, usually in the lodge or the poly, but because of certain circumstances, i havent been since 2005.

you were all right, it cost 18 bucks to park, which for disney i think is cheap, considering some T.A. and PETRO truck stops charge 15, and parked in the bus parking and pick-up, which i think is actually closer to the gate then the car lots. bought the ticket to the xmas party over the phone barreling through louisianna on I-10, and picked it up at the guest relations window. funny note, i was asked if im staying on property and i said kinda, my truck is in your lot, does that count, and the agent laughed. and then i was in, and i loved every minute of it.

being a xmas party vet, i noticed the park was crowded alot more then it usually was when i last went, fluke maybe? anyway, i finally got to experiance the major refurbs that took place over my absence. hm was great. the audio was crisp, the new sceans were awesome, i see they even changed the attic sceen. even the ride seemed smoother. the other thing was sm. not really sure what it hink, if anything, id say the pros are countered by the cons.
the new video games in the que were cool, but they seemed to have an unintended effect. since everything was walk on, people kept stoping to play, not realizing that the line had moved up all the way into the load area, untill the game ended. this slowed the line down alot, but i guess that if there were a long wait, they would come in handy for passing the time. the other thing i definatly noticed was the new projections on the roof was really cool, all the bright stars, space stations, etc tended to brighten up the inside of the ride to the point that you can now see fairly clearly the entire ride system. but i just close my eyes like i always do, (i also do this on thunder mountain) which makes the ride 10 times more fun because you really dont know whats coming.

that stupid show that replaced the night b4 xmas was just that, stupid. but the castle lights were astounding. they wernt there the last time i was there, and i just wish i brought my cam in.

i did see some bright lights, (work lights) in the old 20k site behind donalds tree farm. looks like they arnt wasting any time starting the construction on the new expansion.

in the end, i was so depressed having to leave after only a few hours in my most loved place in the world the entire next day heading to north carolina, but it just serves to make my next, (well deserved and long overdue) vacation. now that im back on my feet, i see 2 weeks in the lodge coming in my future. near or not, its worth the wait
