Hey everyone, just got home from seeing Princess and the Frog and it was fantastic! While watching the movie I instantly thought that this would be a great story to tell as a dark ride, so I decided to create a quick layout of the ride. I had originally thought about a mini-land that could go in the new Fantasy Forest that was based after New Orleans Square and was the stage for Tiana. The land could hold her restaurant, Tiana's Place, a dark ride called Tiana's Journey, as well as other shops and places found in NOS at Disneyland.

The Queue:
You'll notice there is two queue entrances, one on the left and one on the right. The left line is for standby and the right one is for fastpass. The outside of the building looks like a giant mansion and the queue itself will be stylized too look like a giant mansion with fancy flooring, paintings, and lights.
Dark Alley:
Once you board the omnimover ride you'll pass through these giant mansion doors and enter the Dark Alley. This is the scene in the movie right before they enter Dr. Facilier's house of voodoo. This scene will be very dark with a giant dead tree and the neon glow coming from Dr. Facilier's sign.
The Curse:
This is the scene where they shake his hands and the transformation occurs. This room contains cool special effects including lighting, sounds, and some other effects. Sorry for the non detailed description, I haven't put too much thought into this idea quite yet.
The Balcony:
Here you will see Tiana looking up at the stars and then Prince Naveen (in frog form) hopes up to here and this is when the lines come up "I suppose you would like a kiss?" "Kissing would be nice, yes?". Then you'll see a silhouette projected onto the door thats about to open and it shows Tiana kissing the frog - a bright light flashes and you enter the bed room of Charlotte.
The Kiss:
After the bright light flashes you enter Charlotte's bedroom. However, everything around you is larger then life. Here is where you will see Tiana and Naveen as giant frog AA's. Then you'll pass through a set of doors and enter the Bayou.
The Bayou:
This is a massive show scene that is divided up into smaller scenes. When you first enter out of Charlotte's bedroom, the bayou will look huge as you will still see Naveen and Tiana as giant frog AA's or video projected. As you continue down the bayou will seem like it gets smaller, this is to set the stage for when Louis comes in. Then you enter "Gonna Take Ya There" where all the fire flies (actually fiber optics) lead you into Mama Odie's where she tells them that it's whats under the skin that matters and you just need to dig a little deeper. Then the bayou gets dark setting the scene for when the Curse Flips.
The Curse Flips:
To set up this scene, it projects the necklace breaking on the door way into this scene. When you enter, you'll find Dr. Facilier's "friends on the other side" dragging him into the underworld (not exactly, but similar). Then a flash of lighting shows and you see Dr. Facilier's tombstone.
The Transformation:
This scene will show Naveen and Tiana as frogs, but as you move along they both transform into humans. All around you are different animal AA's watching the magical kiss. After you come around the corner and you look at the wall, you'll see two bright stars shining in the sky. Those who've seen the movie understand the importance.
Tiana's Place:
The exit is themed to look like the inside of Tiana's Place all done up like at the end of the movie. And thats the end of your magical journey.
