A new nighttime parade for WDW's Magic Kingdom

I honestly think it's time to retire SpectroMagic. In it's place, for WDW's 40th anniversary, how about a new nighttime parade? It would be themed all to the history of the Magic Kingdom. It would basically be to nighttime parades what Remember Dreams Come True (at Disneyland) was to fireworks.

How does a parade themed to the park itself sound?

I love Spectro, though! It's so classy. Except those clowns *shudder*.

However, I realize it's been around for 'awhile' by many people's standards.. what type of floats are you talking about, here?

I Love the Spectromen! Lolz. If they ever think about tampering with Spectro in ANY way, they better not touch my Spectromen!!! Lolz.

Well, I would love to be a part of this. The floats I hope are better or at least on par TDL's Dreamlights floats.

So the theme for the parade is 40 Years of WDW?

I can just imagine a parade with the floats stopping at designated show stops for a minute or two to do a themed "land" show and then ending with the big Disney finale.

Oh yes! I can imagine a Tomorrowland float with a cool song about the optimism of the future.

Some good inspiration for this parade can be Tokyo Disneyland's 20th Anniversary Parade; Disney Dreams On Parade.

I LOVE this idea! But I just can't bear the thought of losing Spectromagic. What if spectromagic were just tweaked a little bit, and instead of having floats based off of classic Disney flims, the parade had floats based off of classic MK attractions. That way, you get to keep the wonderful theme song while still getting a new experience...

Heck, maybe even expand the idea to include all four parks. You could have a Future World float, WS float, a Hollywood and a Sunset BLVD float, an Everest float, etc.

^Eh, too long. But maybe each park could have a variation of the show...? AK could have smaller floats in the river along the park and in the "main street" of the park, DHS could do it on THEIR parade route, and EPCOT could have it circle World Showcase with the Futureworld floats and then the countries could be lit up in a grand World Showcase finale.

My idea for tweaking Spectro:

Put the 3 fairies on 1 float and deck it all out with flowers

Use the next float for PatF- specifically Ray (the firefly) leading with his own little motorized float it all up with Naveen and Tiana on the float waving filled with a bayou like atmosphere. Mama Odie and Luis follow behind on foot.

The next float belongs to Facilier and highlights neon, "the cards", and his friends on the other side.
