Of those three resorts, generally you'll here the best reviews on Port Orleans French Quarter (POFQ). Because of it's compact layout, theming, single bus stop and boat service to DTD, it generally gets the nod.

PO Riverside is right next door to POFQ, and has two themed sections, a larger layout, several bus stops, and a large themed pool on an island. The grounds are very lush, and there are more paths to wander between.

I haven't stayed at Coronado, so I can't give much input there.

I suggest checking out the reviews at www.allears.net for more info from guests who have stayed at each of the resorts. AllEars also has a number of pictures of each of the resorts.

Also, check out www.portorleans.org for info on those two resorts.

My vote goes for Coronado Springs! My DH and I love that place! Really quiet and relaxing...plus I think it's the only mod with an exercise facility. The hubby usually hits that up, while I go for morning runs around the lake - really pretty and peaceful. We don't pull any punches when it comes to eating at WDW - gotta negate the gluttony somehow!

And bonus, they just renovated the whole place and upgraded to queen size beds, so you have more "sprawl out" space. I don't know about you, but my DH and I about kill eachother when forced to sleep in anything smaller than a queen. He usually throws around wild and baseless accusations of cover stealing and smacks in the face....:lookaroun My brother and sister-in-law are the same way, so that's part of the reason we booked at CSR for our trip next month.

We loved POFQ. It was very relaxing. We loved the small layout so that no matter where your room is you're close to everything. The boat ride to/from DTD was also very nice.

Not only is the one bus stop very nice, but it's also covered. We just went to Pop and those bus lines were terrible. You had to stand in the very hot sun with no shade. With small kids it made for a very hard time.

Oh the great Moderate Resort debate.

My vote will always go to CSR and here is why:

1) Beautiful Resort
2) Bus system rocks
3) I like all of the pools
4) Dinning options are plentiful
5) Night life and other lounges to relax at
6) Salon and Spa
7) Lake with Marina
8) Panchitos
9) Location
10) New rehabed rooms
* Did I mention Beautiful Resort *

I obviously really enjoy CSR, so much so that I have joined Buzz2001's CSR Forum. If you are interested in the Resort here is the unnofficial web page
coronado_springs.tripod.com.
I hope that helps otherwise I would be happy to answer any questions you have and I will try to not sound to fanatical about one of my favorite resorts. :animwink:

Never stayed at POFQ, but have stayed at POR and CSR...you truely can't go wrong with either one. CSR has a conference center so there tends to be expos and meetings there. Because of that, usually less people taking the bus, etc during the "business" day. They do however add gratuity to meals at the Peppermarket food court (no biggie really). If I had to choose though...I'd stay at CSR...I love the Southwest theming.

Of the 4 mods, I've stayed at Riverside and CBR. Tough call, but I'd pick Riverside I think.

If you can get a room in Alligator Bayou, I think Riverside is the best bet. Those seem to be the best themed rooms.

We thought about staying at CSR but felt the rooms were very dull looking prior to rehab, and even worse after rehab.

We've stayed there twice, most recently Sept '08. The buses were great and most of the time our wait was only about 10 min...I think our longest wait was about 20 minutes (which isn't bad).

Even if I haven't stayed at them, I've at least visited almost every resort on property, and I honestly think CSR is the most underrated one at Disney. It's beautiful, they have more variety in dining options than most mods, and it's a lot quieter and more relaxing than the other resorts we've stayed at. I've seen some people complain about the distance between their room and the main building, but we were on the opposite side of the lake last year and enjoyed the walk (and it's not that long...maybe a quarter mile at most)
