Bring presents for kids to open Christmas morning.

I am asking this question for a friend. My friend is going down for Christmas this year with his wife and 2 kids. The kids are 6 and 4. He wanted to know how many gifts they should bring down for the kids to open Christmas morning. They are going for 4 days. I said 3-4 gifts per child. I also volunteered to setup the rest of the presents under the tree for when the arrive home.

Thanks guys.

Depends on a few factors, how big/heavy are the gifts because with the way airlines are charging bag fees left and right that woul dbe a huge factor.

Depending on the gifts and what they are I would take them out of their packaging. You can save a lot of space and weight sometimes with the packaging. And who wants to spend Christmas morning at Disney fiddling with all those twist ties, tape, etc.

They are going to ship the presents down. He said it is some Thomas stuff and then some doll stuff. The items are not very large. They are bringing the smaller items.

I think 3 or 4 is a good number. It puts enough stuff there to keep them busy, and you don't want to tie up the whole day opening gifts. Also, if they get a mini tree, tons of gifts would look funny. They don't want to be carting tons of gifts both down and up. Not to mention, waking up at WDW on Christmas morning is a pretty gosh darn good gift in an of itself.

I would just bring their stockings and explain that Santa will be leaving the rest of their gifts at home. I have been know to pack an awful lot into one stocking.

Hey there B You are a very good friend!!!! I Agree with most posters and think 3-4 will be fine, Also check out with whoever is handling the shipping as they may want to ship the gifts unwrapped due to shipping regulations and wrap them there. Im sure the kids will have a very Merry Christmas!!! Belle

We've done the stockings before and gifts. The stockings are much easier! Santa can hang them in the room after little ones have gone to sleep. If they are doing MK on Christmas day they'll need the time in the morning too - park will be at capacity sometime around 11 and for a parade spot someone will need to be camped by 10.
