Quick service breakfast options at Epcot area resorts?

We are leaving Saturday for the Beach club. We all plan on eating cereal in the room but my father is being stubborn and insisting that he will get up early and eat breakfast on his own. Is there a quick service option at any of the resorts in the area? I know they serve food in the convenience store at the Beach club but wasn't sure what exactly they served.

Wow! If dad's paying I'd be eating with him instead of cereal in my room.

The counter in the Beach Club marketplace only serves one or two breakfast sandwiches, along with a few other things like pastries and cereal.

Someone already mentioned the Boardwalk Bakery. His only other non-table-service option would be Picabu at the Dolphin, which is a "buffeteria" with a full grill menu like omelettes, waffles, eggs, hot cereals, etc.

Another vote for the Boardwalk Bakery...we got tasty egg and cheese croissants there in May for breakfast I'm sure it's a pleasant walk around the lake in the morning, but be advised that the small bakery can get overwhelmed from time to time with a line out the door.

Thanks for the suggestion of the bakery. I didn't realize they had hot food there. That should hopefully keep him happy.

To the one who mentioned eating with him...dad eats bacon and eggs every morning for breakfast and just moved into XXL shirts. I think I will stick to my 1 serving of cereal and fruit from home. It is really hard for us to eat heavy in the morning and walk around in the sun all day. I also will use my mornings to run instead of eating breakfast...if I don't run I can't function properly...lol. It is just what we are used to. We are saving our splurges for dinner.

I saw on another board that Beaches and Cream was serving a to-go breakfast this summer as a try-out -- if it was a success, they would keep it. I don't know if it is still going, but the menu looked good. You could get a platter of all that 'XXL' food, or some kind of bfst. sandwich, etc. Even thought B&C is table service for lunch/dinner, this breakfast is considered counter service. So, you might want to ask when you arrive if they still have it.

I hope they are still serving it in March -- like you, we eat most breakfast in our room (cereal, yogurt), but one or two days we like to eat more hearty, and this would be so convenient for YC/BC!

Unfortunately it did end with summer, and is no longer offered.

I think that Picabu at the Dolphin is his best bet; it's pretty expensive, though.

Aw, bummer! I was really hoping that was still opened. He is just going to have to be ok with a breakfast sandwhich or he can just drive to mcdonald's or something.

Thanks again for your ideas!

Having just stayed @ BC this past week, I thought the BC Marketplace did a good job, like was mentioned above, either an egg & cheese, or ham, egg, & cheese on a split croisant, lots of pastries too. We tried Kouzina for brkfst. and wasn't impressed, we liked spoodels(sp) better. Can't go wrong with Boardwalk Bakery, very popular.
