News Very large crane on site at Typhoon Lagoon - refurb or addition?

A couple of cranes are onsite at Typhoon Lagoon, looks to be in the area behind Crush n Gusher. They aren't yet deployed, but appear to be ready for action in a staging area.

One of the cranes is very large - the kind used to build Everest.

This begs the question - is it part of the refurb or an addition to Typhoon Lagoon?

Crush and Gusher began construction at a very similar time.

The crane appears to be situated in what has been speculated to be the next expansion pad for Typhoon Lagoon.

Thank you, Jesus!

There's no need for a crane at TL unless it's by the boat (unless you can get up to the boat?) So this seems likely to be expansion!

Anyone past/present TL CMs who would know if cranes were used in passed seasonlong refurbs?

Interesting as Blizzard Beach is always the capacity threat. But, we do know there's not enough water park capacity at WDW and they don't challenge Wet 'N Wild et al very well.

Expansion would surprise me though, in today's instant media world those don't happen by surprise.

Yet Typhoon Lagoon has more attendance per year. I think TL just has a larger capacity.

That's a really high reach crane for about 200+ feet. The split booms of the crane shows that its similar in type to the crane that picked everything down from the wand.

What could be that heavy or that high to lift at TL?

When we were there on Oct 20 there were about 4 or 5 men wearing suits walking all around Crush n Gusher. The water was cold on it too. Don't know if it's supposed to be or not. The other slides were warm.

Is it impossible for them to expand BB?

I feel like it needs more help than TL.

I'm sure it isn't impossible. Behind the mountain are 3 slides with a wooded area behind them. Maybe back there.

IDK why Typhoon Lagoon is getting all the love though either.
