The name for the new Fantasyland expansion area is being called Fantasy Forest. Jay said there will be many more surprises for the area and also a coaster announcement. I guess he still wants to keep some secrets about the new area.

It was in an email sent to Disney Leadership and of course discussed many things that have already been announced, but those were some items I didnt see anywhere else.

Look closely at the concept art (not the blueprints).
Info I get is that the art is what we are getting, the blueprints being an earlier version. Notice how there is no Barnstormer, Dumbo is in it's area.
Then, look west of Dumbo.

I've been wondering. The artwork clearly shows a looping coaster which means barnstormer is out or to be relocated.

Oh really! This sounds interesting. I'm hoping that there will be a couple of other bits and pieces to surprise us.
The old rumor was for a Dwarf mine coaster, guess there would be other ideas as well.
But does "bye-bye barnstormer" mean it gets taken down or rethemed? Edit: i guess that was answered while i was typing

I haven't heard of it having a loop....that would be surprising for MK.

Um, I think a naming of the whole new area is kind of unnecessary. Can't it just be apart of Fantasyland? :shrug:

I'm of the opinion some of the rides could end up scattered around DTD. Barnstormer, old Dumbo system rethemed etc. We heard a lighthouse may be added to DTD, so an old fashioned seaside amusement park theme might be a possibility for the former PI area.
Just a guess though.

If the artwork is correct, yes. There is no way to add loops to an existing coaster. I could even see this new ride going out over the railroad tracks.

The area theme name- Fantasy Forest makes sense. I know my DH and I were looking at the artwork the night the announcement release and that what was going where and was it even going to be there.

It looks like it is back near Dumbo so I wonder what the theme will be? Also I wonder why they didnt talk about it at D23?
