Is this lawsuit letter real?

I searched to no avail. Sorry if this is a repeat topic.

My wife just called to inform me that we received a letter from Disney because of a class-action lawsuit against the company that had a settlement reached.

It seems that somebody was confused by the check-box when booking their vacation online for "vacation protection". We had opted for this coverage on our last trip because our friend that was going along with us was 8 months pregnant. Therefore, there was the slightest chance that we may have had to cancel our trip. We didn't think this option was confusing at all. It was clearly checked and had a "more info" button next to it. They also told you how much it cost in the final tally.

Anyway, I immediately began to think that this could be some kind of a scam of some sort. The compensation consists of 4 choices (don't remember them all right now). One of them was 30% each day at any hotel of your choice.

Did anybody else receive such a letter?

I haven't received one, but we always get the trip insurance. If you've ever had to cancel & lose your money (and we have) you would never book again without it. Wonder if everyone will be getting one? I think there is another thread going along these lines too.

I've gotten one. If you sue Disney for the same cause as the letter and win it, you will recive the following:

30% off of a stay at WDW or DLR

30% admission price off for DCA ( yippie  )

Or a free Disney DVD ( now really... )

I got the same letter, its kinda funny though only the first 100, 000 get the 30% off at wdw or that place in ca, I don't even remember taking the stupid insurance oh well guess I did sometime ago. guess I am getting a free dvd though, maybe I'll get a copy of nemo or the incredibles when they come out, keeping my fingers crossed.

I got the letter today too. And I am not going to "cash in" because I willingly bought the insurance.

If you did buy the insurance out of your own free will then you go ahead and file a claim for one of these settlement awards when Disney didn't do anything wrong to them, kinda tells me a little bit about your character.

So what exactly does all this mean?
If you got a Walt Disney World Package in 2003 you should have gotten a letter?
Sorry if this is wrong. Thank you.
