actually just hung up with my interview! They ask the basic interview questions like, why do you want to work at Disney? ask about your previous work experience ect...

Also make sure you know which program you want to apply for, I picked Spring Advantage and they asked "if advantage is filled up is just spring alright?"

I put my top three choices were Attractions, Resort Hopper and Merch. Then they asked me questions about each of the roles I chose. Attractions goes something to the tune of "If you were working the front of Space Mountain and a child is all excited to get on the ride but is too small what do you do", then the resort question was all about "If a guest wanted a poolside room but you haven't got any as the hotel all filled up what do you do?" and the Merch question was "If a guest is looking for an item and your sold out what do you do?" these were the same roles I applied for back in 2006 and I got the same questions lol...

Then they ask if you have any tattoos, piercing and unnatural hair colors and ask more about the "Disney Look"...

Then where you would like to live Chatham, Vista, Patterson and how many roomies.

Then they ask you about school, verify your major, make sure your in atleast one class while your applying. Are you under an international visa while studying ect...

Finally they ask about whether or not your going to be at least 18 when you start the program. Then if you have any questions there's time for that and they tell you "We'll contact you in 1-2 weeks with a response.

Hope this helps... all in all its a pretty standard interview and remember to SMILE, i know its weird if your doing the phone interview but smiling changes the sound of the voice...:)

I wasn't even a student and I still got it! CareerStart, actually...

They asked me the exact same questions when I applied for Merch and Attractions, I guess I didn't answer right because they put me in costuming (and I'm very very VERY glad they did because costuming ROCKS).

They didn't ask me my living preferences though, which I kind of wish they would have because that worried me, even though I got my preference (1 BR, Patterson). Maybe they're giving the early applicants a better chance at getting the living situation they want.

Just had my interview yesterday. I applied for Merchandise, Hospitality, Vacation Planner, Photopass and Costuming. She asked me if I was open to Quick Service. I said only as a last resort.

I got pretty much the same questions as sum41914. The only one I think I messed up was quick service where she asked me, "You have 1 customer asking about a menu and another customer ready to order and another just spilled something on the floor. Which do you do first?" I said clean the spill then help the customers, then after I hung up I thought about it and was "Oops, should of been the other way around", but I really don't want Quick Service anyway! LOL

I would love to do costuming, but forgot about it when she asked me for my top 3. LOL

You actually got that one right. Once you get down here, you will here so much about safety that you may go insane, but that it the biggest concern of CMs for their guests. You can always explain to a waiting guest that you had unsafe conditions, but for a guest who spilled something it is hard to explain that you just HAD to take that order before you helped them clean an unsafe condition.

I'm scheduling my CP phone interview on monday...I'm very excited. Just got finished with my application and the computer interview process. I'm going to try to get into attractions...if that doesn't work out, transportation or merch.

3 answers to the 3 questions that may not get you the job....

Q- What if a small kid is excited to ride Space Mountain and then finds out he is too small?
A- Laugh loudly at him, and say Dumbo is that way!

Q- What if a guest wants a room with a better view and you are sold out.

A-We have one left but it will be a little while, the crime scene investigators are still cleaning up the brain matter.

Q- What if a guest wants someting that you are sold out of?
Say ahh man, I just bought the very last one a few minutes ago, but for 5 times the price, you can buy mine.

You start counting down the days till you can apply again! I was really bummed too because I was told after the web-based interview that my responses didn't meet the requirements of the roles, so I wasn't able to have a phone interview. You have to turn it into something positive though and not give up. There's a Walt Disney quote that says, "All the adversity I've had in my life, all my troubles and obstacles, have strengthened me... You may not realize it when it happens, but a kick in the teeth may be the best thing in the world for you." It sounds kinda weird when you first read it, but I think it makes sense. Everything happens for a reason. Hope that helps a little. :0)

Thanks Captain! I don't really remember all the questions because I had my interview so long ago. What do they look for in a phone interview? Maybe that will help me a little.
