Cinderella Castle: Disneyland 50 Anniversary Modifications - New Concept Art!

ROYAL TREATMENT -- During "The Happiest Celebration on Earth," Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom will become a celebration of Disney magic around the world. Graceful gold filigree will adorn its turrets. Banners, ribbons and tapestries will breeze from balconies.

Incredible golden Disney icons will sparkle across the castle -- Cinderella's glass slipper, Beast's enchanted rose. Golden images of Peter Pan and his friends will fly carefree in the sky high on the tallest spire. There will be a delightful Disney surprise from every angle. And in the middle of it all, a magical palate of ever-changing stained glass above the castle's great archway will shine with a breathtaking view of the five Disney castles from around the world.

I like it, too. Just hate the scaffolding.

I wonder if the characters will affect the forced perspective. . .

Looks great. But I'm scared - are they going to board up the castle like at Disneyland? I'm heading to WDW in early March, and will NEVER hear the end of it from my oldest daughter if BOTH the castle AND IASW are closed.

I mostly like what I see. It looks more royal and prettier, but to be quite honest with you... I kind of dont like the gold characters, especially Peter Pan. He looks like hes about to "end it all" but thats just MHO.

Golden Calf??

Is it just my imagination or is that truly a golden calf, raised high above our heads, standing on the left balcony???

I like the look of the castle but that might be a little tough to swallow for some people.

That's Timon and Pumba on the close left balcony, the white rabbit on the side one, and I think that's the Genie from the window. So, not a golden calf, a golden Warthog!

Are you sure that is not one of the cows from Home on the Range standing next to Pumba?

I like it.. I really do... Pretty sharp looking!

But... ya cant make everyone happy... so that being the case... I already can see people complaining about it... Just like the wand.... just like the Hat... etc... It’s a never-ending vicious cycle I tell ya. :lol:

WOW. I'm impressed. It looks really good. I like what DL is getting, but I kinda wish it was this. Better than I though.
