Just Booked POFQ

If you do a search in this forum for POFQ or Port Orleans, you'll find a number of threads with information about it. It's a pretty popular resort :)

You can also check out www.allears.net. They have a number of photos and detailed information on all the resorts, as well as user reviews of their stay.

We stayed there in September 2008, and loved it. Being a smaller resort, you don't feel that you are walking forever to get to the main building or bus stop.

The setting is lush, with courtyards, fountains, large trees and shrubs, lawns, and all kinds of whimsical pathway names.

Have a great trip!

I actually just got back from a stay there last weekend. We at at the food court each morning and took the short walk to the bus stop from there. The buses ran in a timely manner. The pool is very nice and the kids love the dragon slide!

Have a wonderful time!

Favorite resort I'ved stayed at so far in wdw. It is absolutely gorgeous. Its small and no matter what building you're in, you are close to it all!

Take the boat to DTD...such a nice and relaxing ride.

You can't go wrong with the French Quarter. Its very quaint and relaxing. The food court, buses and boats are all within short walking distance. And most importantly the bus (which is shared with the riverside) picks up FQ first, so you're likely to get a seat on the way to the parks, and drops off first, so you get home sooner at the end of the night. It's the little things that matter most. ;)

I just got back from Animal Kindgom Lodge, and it was a really nice place but honestly, I like POFQ better. I even said that to my hubby when we were leaving yesterday. It's quiet, you can take the boat to DTD (not fighing the evening bus crowd), the pool area is just as nice, and I liked the food court area better. That's just my opinion though, I'm sure others would argue..lol!

The husband and I love POFQ. The resort is small and quiet. We love the boat ride to DTD. The atmosphere is just relaxing. We got married at Disney in March and stayed there and are going back for our official honeymoon in Dec. :xmas: and will be staying there again. We have always stayed at POFQ and will continue to do so. Its our favorite!!:)
