Disneyland Resort Express

We used the Disneyland Express going from LAX to the Disneyland Hotel and we used Super Shuttle for our return trip to LAX. I would highly reccomed both of them. THe DL Express is a large bus and Super Shuttle uses a van similar to what Mears uses in Orlando for transportation. I've also heard good things about Prime Time Shuttle, which is basically the same thing as Super Shuttle, but a different company.

WOW, thanks. I was thinking I was going to have to rent a car to get to Anaheim from LAX. I had no idea about the shuttle.

Has anyone ever taken the shuttle? How was it? How long does it take?

Would you suggest the shuttle or renting a car?

From that same MouseSavers page, a little higher up:

For a Disneyland trip, your shuttle selection partly depends on the airport you select.

Between Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and Disneyland, the trip takes about 45-60 minutes, depending on traffic.

Between Orange County/John Wayne Airport (SNA) and Disneyland, travel time is about 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic...

I personally wouldn't rent a car because there is no way I'm going to drive in LA , but I'm not big on driving in traffic. If you're from a city and/or used to it, I'm sure it would be fine to rent a car. But I guess it all depends on what you are going to do on your trip. If you're focusing on the parks, I would take the shuttle and then use a Coach America tour to go to Universal Hollywood

But if you're going to be spending a few days in the LA area, a rental car might be the way to go.

It also takes about 45 minutes or so to get from Disneyland to Universal Hollywood. So I'm really glad we took a bus there and didn't have to worry about driving that far on vacation in an unfamiliar place. But I'm sure a lot of places most people drive longer than that every day for work.

While its not Magical Express in WDW it served its purpose. It was 30 a person round trip.

I just got back from 2 nights at the DL resort. (We go several times a year)
As a So. Cal. local, trust me, don't rent a car unless you really need it.
10 minutes after leaving for home this morning, we passed an 8 car pile up on the other side of the freeway. The backup lasted for almost 10 miles. Thank God we were on the other side. But I've been on that wrong side many times.

Sounds like you already know.
If you're just visiting Disney, let somebody else do the driving.
