which is better

I would vote for 50s. Although the theming is a bit better at SciFi (I absolutely LOVE the setup), the Cast Member interaction at PrimeTime makes it all worth it. Better food, too, IMO. :)

50's all the way. SCI fi in my opinion is not much better than counter service food. Prime time however had amazing food. and the atmosphere is a little better too.

I've never eaten at 50's in 15 (can't believe it either) visits to WDW. With that said, if you have to pick one, from what I've heard, 50's is better. If you have the opportunity to do both, definitely try Sci-Fi. If you don't care about eating in a car, you can get a seat quickly as a walk-in at a table. Though the menu is limited, the drive-in atmosphere is really fun. The CM's are doing the movie trailers with the movies. It is a fun place to eat and the milkshakes they serve are really good.

I'd say 50's. But in reality, there really are not very many places outside of WDW that have both of the atmospheres. If you can, I'd do both!

Hmmm...50's has "nicer" food than the burger and fries atmosphere of Sci-Fi, but for my tastes, the theming of the Sci-Fi makes it the winner here.

If you're into EXTREME CM interaction, the make it the 50's Prime Time. But if you're feeling like heading to the good ol' drive in on a weekend night to see the "latest" Sci-Fi movies, then you gotta go to the Sci-Fi!

I've never done Sci-Fi but did do 50's. It's one of the greatest places I've ever eaten at with the atmosphere. We have a good family memory from that place that we will never forget. I just can't see anything remotely close to that happening at Sci-Fi. It's all in the "family" at 50's that makes it excellent. And the food is great there too!

I prefer Sci-Fi compared to 50's for theming, but the food has definitely gone down hill in the past 10 years at SciFi. Like someone else said, it is not much different than a quick counter service facility except that the prices are higher for a hamburger or sandwich.

I've never been to 50's either, but have gone to Sci-Fi. Our family loves it. I've heard great things about 50's, but I never felt the kids would appreciate the atmosphere. We may try it on the next trip as the kids are getting older.
