Bus system starting times

On three different days we have PS for breakfast (7:30, 8:20 and 8:30). One is at the Poly and the other two at Parks. What time do buses start there routes? I was told when booking to allow 45 minutes to reach the destination. My plan is to be at the 7:30 by 7:15 but it is at Ohanas. The other two I will be there at 8:00.

We will probably end up driving to Ohana's but I don't want to miss CRT because the buses don't start up until 7:30 or something.

If they are different per resort - we are staying at POR.

Buses generally start running around 7:30.

They have buses specifically for character breakfasts that will hit all the bus stops.

If your breakfast for 7:30 is at Polynesian, you DEFINITELY should drive. Even if the buses started early, you still won't make it. The only way from Port Orleans to Polynesian via Disney Transport is by Monorail, which doesn't start running until I believe 8:00 (maybe even 8:30.)

Buses start running 30-45 minutes prior to the first seating time. For super early character breakfasts, just let the driver know where you need to go, and if they are able, they can often times take you directly.

Magic Kingdom buses typically start running around 6:30am. Actual arrival time to your particular stop may vary.

Is this bus schedule new? In 2002, CSR told us that buses never start before 8:00am and if we wanted to make it to our 8:00 breakfast ps we'd have no choice but to drive (good thing we had a car). My next door neighbor's been told the same thing (I think theirs happened before ours which was in 2002). They once had to take a taxi to MK for their Cindys ps. Just curious if this is something they just started recently or not.

Nope, it's not new. Been around for years... However, Dining Reservations and Front Desks are notorious for giving wrong transportation information. :(

My advice: Only trust transportation information from those wearing purple pants. (I'm not wearing mine right now, they're in the closet... but close enough.) :)

Thanks for the info! Good to know. I'll definitely keep it in mind for future trips. I'd rather take the buses than drive, there so much more convenient (I get dropped off at the door rather than parking miles away and I don't have to use my gas :) ).

Can they listen to me?

I'm always there when the buses start running, even though I wear blue shorts.

If you park at the Poly for your PS breakfast, can you leave your car there for the day while you visit the parks or are you made to leave again after eating. I have heard that you are given a parking permit or something, but do they actually check if you have left?

We plan on leaving around 6:30 for Poly. If we can get a bus to MK then we can catch the monorail over to Poly. Everything I read says the monorail starts running at 7:00. If not then we need to take the car over. Our plan would be to leave it at Poly and head directly to EPCOT on the monorail from there. So, can you leave you vehicle there? Especially if you are staying at a Disney Resort?

Actually, this is NOT true... you CANNOT leave your car at the Polynesian while you go play in the parks. This is a no-no, since now, those staying at the Polynesian won't be able to park. They will give you a three hour parking permit, and they can tow after that. If you wish to go to the Magic Kingdom, you can park at the Magic Kingdom parking lot, and visit the Polynesian and the Magic Kingdom to your hearts desire :)

If you take your car, park it in the Magic Kingdom Parking and walk to the Polynesian or take the Monorail. If you park at the Polynesian, you will need to move your car after your meal.

Does anyone have the info to contact a cab company that will take us from Pop Century to character breakfasts?
Looking at Yellow Cab which is run by Mears. It will probally run you about $10 for each breakfast you go to.

How about the monorails? I will be coming from Saratoga Springs for an 8:30a.m. AR - so, I'm thinking, if the buses will be running as early as 6:30, I can hitch a bus to the MK and then monorail it to the Poly!

The alternative I've thought of is walking to Downtown Disney and then busing it straight to Poly. (Would the DTD to Poly buses be operating at this hour of the morning?)
Thanks so much for your wealth of advice (hopefully you have an answer for me!)
