Journey Into Imagination Movie Idea

Ok, so this just same to me out of the blue as a plot to a movie based on JII. Let me know what you think...

Frank Simpleton is an average guy. He works as an advertising executive and never comes up with any new ideas. For fun, Frank works out at the gym, talks with friends at the same pizza place and goes home to watch TV and go to bed. In short, Frank's life has no imagination. That is until one day, when Frank bumps into a mysterious stranger who tells Frank he knows what can make his life exciting again. Frank meets with the man known as the Dreamfinder, who, along with his trusty sidekick Figment, decide to try to help Frank discover the true wonders behind using his imagination. It would have to be done at least partially in 3-D so the colors can literally pop out of the screen. The idea with this is to capture the essence of the original attraction to create a whimsicle world that is unlke any other seen in the movies. I think if done right, it could be an absolute smash hit film.

Oh, and in terms of casting, I would love to see Robin Williams play Dreamfinder. I can totally see it... I'm actually considering trying to write a screenplay for this, so if you have any suggestions in terms of plot or any little ride homages you'd like to see in the film, let me know.

HA ha ha!!! I was just thinking last week that they needed a Figment movie!!! It would do so well because Figment is such a popular "cult" character at Disney that was never fully developed, so they couldreally have fun with this. My idea, though, was to eliminate HISTA and have a 3-D Figment movie there!!!

Ill buy my ticket today, great Idea. Then to promote the movie they can do a complete overhaul of the ride.

Here's an idea that I haven't fully thought out:

Why not make a movie such as this and use ALL profits to update the corresponding ride at the park. They could do it for any updates needed for any ride.

Or redo the ride to promote the film and then make a Figment based 3D film to replace HISTA, then we could have a film in the imaginatin pavilion that fits there.

My thoughts exactly. If Disney were to put out an Imagination movie, the pavilion could get re-themed to go with the movie. I do actually intend to at least start working on a screenplay using the concept above. One of the biggest things I'd like to see is a re-worked Imageworks based on Dreamfinder's Workshop, which will be part of the movie.

Great Idea!:sohappy:

This film would definitely be a welcome addition to replacing Honey I Shrunk The Audience. It would be done well in the witty style of Ellen's Energy Adventure and the 3D effects could be outstanding. Robin Williams as Dreamfinder= Epic Win.

When I mentioned this I was kinda referring to a theatrical released film, but perhaps a 3-D tie in of some sort could come to Epcot with a redone pavilion? That would be really cool...

So, before I start working on this screenplay does anyone have any ride references they want to see included? If it's going to be based on the ride, it needs to have a few...
