Yer Velcome! Of course I'm going in the end of July/Beginning of August and may not get to go next year because I may be going to Disneyland instead for the 50th Anniversary on the Date Disneyland Opened (July 17) so I may have to wait nearly 2 full years to see it! GRR! Ofcourse, being one of the first to ride the new re-vamped Space Mountain is a fair trade off as well as being there on the day that it opened. I love Disneyland as much as WDW, on't get me wrong. i have been to DL only once and I didn't get to do everything in Disneyland park, but, ofcourse missed only 1 or 2 attractions in DCA which I actually didn't find as pathetic as everyone says. WOW! HUGE drift from my own thread by me  AHAHA! Ok, I realy need to shut up now.

September 13th? Well, from the looks of it, that may be possible. But I'm not going to believe anything until I get an official statement from Disney on my desktop screen. Maybe it'll be announced at the 6/26 press event that is suppose to happen.

I won't be hitting MK until probably mid-October, so that works for me.

And....

It's not a ride! It's a show... a SHOW!!!

*ahem*

Sorry. Had to do it.

This might be a dumb question but why do they have seasonal rides? Is it because the ride isn't that popular? Money to run the ride? To help the lines at other attractions. I love the COP. I have only seen it once and am always dissapointed because every time I go to the MK it is not open.

You know, I'll bet it is. This is because, well, look at the date! I don't think that date was chosen randomly. I mean, the date is 6/26, right? Stich is experiment 626, right? 6/26, 626, I guess we'll wait and see . . .

Well.... i don't want to rain on anyone's parade or anything... but, i heard from a credible (well, maybe credible... not too sure yet) source that the opening has been pushed up to february 2005... this is pretty dissapointing news to me... so, if there is any evidence to make me think otherwise, then I am happy to hear it...

Thanks for the info it will work out great fro our October visit. I had heard from some people they were going to have the "Grand" opening on the 1st of Oct. to do the whole "WDW opeing day" thing.

As far as your trip to DL and Space Mtn. I am sorry to say but odds are very high that Space will not be open till closer to x-mas time at this point. The word is if anything does open on the 17th it will be Buzz. You will be there for the big day in history and i am sure some major events will happen but no Space. I am 99.9% sure even Marty said in a interview it wont be till late in the year.

Matt Ouimet, head of the Disneyland Resort, has said all entertainment and Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters have a planned opening of May 5, 2005, and he has been strongly pushing for Space Mountain to open by July 17, 2005. Coming from the same man who is managing to fit in a refurbishment for virtually every inch of Disneyland before the 50th Anniversary begins (all of Main Street, the Castle, the Tiki Room, all of New Orleans Square incl. Haunted Mansion, Splash Mountain, all of Fantasyland incl. Matterhorn, much of Toontown, all of Tomorrowland), I take it to heart. The new trains are completed, the track nears completion...it is not hard to imagine all theming being completed within 13 months.

I wish they'd open it on the 14th so I could be there on opening day. Oh well, the day after it opens is good too :D

I was there last year for the soft opening of Philharmagic. There was a CM standing outside of the attraction inviting people in and answering questions people had about the attraction. There didn't seem to be any limits to the amount of people that were let in.

I'll believe it when i see it.

Sounds to me like this is more a timeframe for Cast Previews than some official opening date. Every date i've heard for an opening seems to be pushed back in time, not into the future.

Yeah, and I've never know Disney to open an attraction in September. Any ride ready to open around that time of year has always opened October 1st, like Mission: SPACE and PhilharMagic (Mission: SPACE was open to guests in June and still waited till October to grand open!)
