I think you mean 2009 :animwink:

Seven months is a big jump for Southwest...it usually seems to be 3 or 4 months at a time opening up (although that's not a scientific answer, by far). I guess they're hoping people book now for late winter/early spring, with hopes that they can lock in cheaper rates.

Prior to this announcement they had been booking up until Jan 9, so it's about what they've been doing lately. I know we book for every February, and it's generally around early to mid-September when they release the new dates.
