The CSR is undergoing rehabs later this year which will include queen size beds and Club Level. Just two more reasons that we will keep going back to the CSR.

Thats great news! I know I'm in the minority but I love CSR. I enjoyed my stay there far more than my stays at the Yatch/Beach Club and Port Orleans RS/FQ.

Guess I'm in the minority as well then, becasue we love the CSR. We are staying for the 7th time in four weeks for our 25th wedding anniversary. DH offered me Polynesian and I said NO! I want my CSR.

SO I only will go to CSR, but I am a little slow... what is club level exactly? and will the queen beds replace the doubles in standard rooms?

My understanding is queen beds will be put in every room except those rooms with king size beds. I'm not exactly sure of Club Level--but I know they only offer it at deluxes (I think it is something like a special room with priority treatment, help with ressies, etc.). I'll be there in four weeks and will try to get more info.

Hi there all, The only rooms with Queen sized beds after the remodel are supposed to be the Club Level rooms. The room prices will be increased but it comes with a Concierge-like type of feel to it to include the following:
Business Club Level services include personalized Front Desk and Guest Services, turndown service and a lounge with continental breakfast, midday snacks and evening wine (additional fee) and cheese. All Business Club Level Rooms have two queen-size beds or one king-size bed, desk and chair, vanity area with sink, a ceiling fan and a bathroom. All rooms are non-smoking. Amenities include DVD player, in-room wall safe, voice mail, data port, hairdryer, iron, ironing board, mini-fridge, robes and coffee maker. A crib is available upon request. Wheelchair-accessible rooms are available. These rooms offer views of the lake, courtyard or parking lot.

Any idea which section of coronado these rooms will replace? I am such a Coronado nut, and am very curious to see which section will get this specific upgrade.

This is the info that was given to me by a friend who knows someone at the CSR:

"They will be replacing the double beds with queens and new furniture to suit modern tastes; but still in theme. Another 100 rooms will get upgraded to king beds. One building (not Casitas 1) will be transformed into a “Business class” club level building with rooms described below. The décor is still being tweaked, so cast members still have not seen the prototypes; but construction will start next month. The aim is to provide a level of experience that is equal or better to most upper end resorts outside of Disney. For instance, all of the rooms now are getting modern flat screen TV’s. Tables are being replaced with desks so that floor space is preserved after putting in larger beds. Most of these updates are done with great stealth, so visiting guests will not be aware that changes are happening. New rooms will just magically appear and some buildings simply won’t be available for a short period. Walt Disney World, as you would expect, is getting itself set to continue to be the best vacation destination in the world. Some accommodations are getting a little out of date, so Disney is moving up to the future."

I'm a bit confused between your post and Belle's. So is your friend saying that all rooms are getting Queen size beds or only the new Club level rooms?

Hi Dox, The only rooms I have heard of that are getting the Queen sized beds are the Club level. If the other rooms are going to be changed over as well, I havent been advised of that as of yet. Not saying it wont happen, just that I Am not 100% sure it will!! Hope this clarifies!! Belle

I haven't heard this directly. This is what someone I know very well said one of his close CM contacts told him. I will be there in 27 days and will try to find out more info. The rates are up for 2009 on mousesavers.

Last I read all the rooms got queens... can anyone confirm? Also, I think the only building with Club level is a Cabanas buildings, not positive which one, but one of the 9's I think...

off allears.net:
The average guest room is approximately 314 square feet. There are 60 rooms with king-size beds; 1,718 have two queen beds; and 99 disabled-accessible rooms.

NOTE: The resort is in the process of adding king beds, so that it will eventually have a total of 224 king rooms.

Beginning in 2009, club level rooms will be available in Casitas 9B. All Business Club Level rooms will have two queen-size beds or one king-size bed, desk and chair, vanity area with sink, a ceiling fan and a bathroom. These rooms offer views of the lake, courtyard or parking lot. Business Club Level services include personalized Front Desk and Guest Services, turndown service and a lounge with continental breakfast, midday snacks and evening wine (additional fee) and cheese. Amenities include DVD player, in-room wall safe, voice mail, data port, hairdryer, iron, ironing board, mini-fridge, robes and coffee maker. A crib is available upon request. Wheelchair-accessible rooms are available.

We stayed at CSR twice in October, once in the Ranchos and once in the Casitas. BOTH ROOMS HAD QUEEN BEDS. And they were not club level. Nor were they renovated yet, but we could see construction going on in the adjacent Casitas building when we were there.

Were at CSR in December - rooms were renovated. We did get building 9B Casitas which is the rumored concierge building, but the staff didn't seem to know anything about the change over. Not complaining though - I got the 9B building at no up charge and the posts about how convenient it is are not exagerated!

Cabana 9B will be available at regular rates for those visiting CSR unless they are reserved for a convention. As of now, CL level has been put on hold due to some kinks in the system. As of now, no one knows when CL may become an option for regular guests.

Now I havent requested a club level, since my room request is always in the Ranchos and i knew that the club level was in Cabanas, but I do know taht when I was booking my April visit, there was an option to get "club level" along side the water view and king bed options. If they had the option there, im sure some people have booked that, are they not going to actualyl receive "club level" service now?

No, those who had requested and paid for club level, were called on the phone and were offered a different resort with club level. The food/snacks, etc., are only available to convention people at this time.
