Has anyone ever thought about why they don't have a character meal for boys??? At least 3 of them are centered around girls. Has Disney ever considered having one with the Pirates or Power Rangers etc. My grandson would be in Heaven... How about it Disney could we get one.. How do others feel about this. I have 2 grandsons now while one is tiny his time will come for us to bring him there..

Crystal Palace at the MK is not bad for boys....It has Pooh, Tigger, piglet, and Eeyore. My son alwas loves it there.

In terms of Pirates...I remember once hearing about a special desert/snack party that goes out on the seven seas lagoon...I can't remember where I saw it desribed though...

I know, we are booking that this time. But something not so toddlerish. He is 5 now and will be almost 6 in Feb of next year. Just thought a more older boy style meal would be fantastic for them. Let them dress up for the event like the little girls do???

I think it would be a great idea for them to do something more for boys. But just about every other character meal besides Cinderellas royal table ( but they do give the boys swords when they go into that one) and princess storybook in Norway are not really geared towards one or the other.

I am booking Norway as well but for breakfast.. I realize that they try to incorporate something for the boys just thought one for the boys wouldn't be a bad idea and like I said not so juvenile. Like Pooh and Einsteins, etc. are really for the younger ones. he likes them just would love something more to his age.Where they could wear their costumes and play dress up like the little girls. Wouldn't this just be so special for them. Maybe I should try and get a job there and get something like this rolling ha ha. I am designing and we are building a ship to put in our store for our BD parties so that boys can dream a little to, and this question, I had, sparked me to ask why they didn't have one just for them.

I never understood why they don't offer this. They could offer a Toy Story or Peter Pan meal for boys. I think they would go over really really well. It just seems like an untapped market which is unDisney like.

I agree. Maybe a meal with Aladdin/Genie, or even Woody/Buzz/Jesse. Or maybe a Peter Pan/Hook thing. We have taken our son to Chef Mickey's, 'Ohana's, Hollywood Play n' Dine and 1900 Park Fare and he has loved all of them. This trip we will be doing Crystal Palace, Chef Mickey's and Cape May.

Not a character meal, but I am sending my son on the Pirate Adventure this year. It is 2 1/2 hours and they go on a Pirate excursion. They get a patch, hat, treasure box filled with the treasure they find at each spot and lunch. I wish my son had a sibling to go with him, but I think he will have a grand time! I like how they give patenrs a pager just in case.

That's what I am saying... Why Not have something like this. Really if you think about it Disney could tap into some big markets doing something for the boys as well. I agree even Peter Pan, Toy Story would be fun. His favorite thing though is Cars the Movie. he has every car made.. Seems a shame to have to wait 4 more years to the sequel. most of those boys will almost be too old for that by then, that started with the first one. Anyway. maybe they will read my post and consider something BEFORE we come in Dec. Big wish huh?

Disneykidder, Which place are you choosing to launch from? We are going to do the same for our grandson. Like you, wish he had someone he knew while he is going on it. But this still doesnt replace a meal deal. Maybe something at DHS could be built or put into place of something else just for the guys. We grandparents and parents would spend much more money on things for our little guys if it were out there.

I think having quality time with characters for boys is a little different than for girls.

I mean isn't sharing a dessert with Alladin, Gaston, Hercules, Tarzan, and Peter Pan just a little weird.

There has been talk and rumors of this for years. I think bringing a boys characters meal would do well, but they'd have to use the right characters. I feel WDW caters to the girls more than the boys. They have the princesses out all the time. When do you ever see a Prince, besides a special event?

They should throw in more characters for boys. Even though ohanas, ltt, garden grill etc. can go either way.

When we ate at Goofy Kitchen in disneyland hotel, they had baloo, peter pan, mad hatter, goofy, chip and dale. This seemed pretty well geared for boys. Also the Storyteller's Cafe there had brother bear characters, meeko, and terk, which seemed kind of boyish. Maybe wdw could get some more boy character like that?

No I do not. These are little boys a thought like that never crossed my mind. He watches shows and movies with these characters in it and I don't think it is weird.

Exactly.. If DCA can have it then why not the largest of the Parks in Florida??

I see the character meals like Chef Mickey's, Ohana and Garden Grill geared for everyone. I'm sure boys go to Cinderella's Royal Table, Akerhus and 1900 Park Fare Dinner, but they are still more themed and geared for the girls to attend. I would still like the Hero's Breakfast with Captain Jack, Hercules, Peter Pan, Aladdin, Shang etc.

And I still think they should bring back the villains meal on nights of Mickey's Not So Scary.

I'm just talking about face characters for boys are probably not gonna be as popular with the grade school boys as they are with the girls.

I do agree with you, there should be more for the boys, but boys can be very temperamental about what they will admit to liking.

Well said... You know the dads would get a kick out of seeing their sons have a good time with these characters just like the moms hearts melt when their precious little girls get to dress up and attend these meal. I know there is a prince or some other character there, but just would like to see it geared more toward the little boys who love to see their favorites at the parks and rarely do at any meet and greet or otherwise.
