I found this on another website http://www.themovieblog.com, it talks about the plot for the up coming movie Toy Story 3. Its not much but it sounds good.

In Pixar’s coming movie “Toy Story 3,” Woody the cowboy and his toy-box friends are dumped in a day-care center after their owner, Andy, leaves for college.

Interesting...I agree that it's a bit of a jump in years, but can you imagine the horrors those toys will suffer in a day care? It'll be interesting to see how this one turns out!

I guess its all in real time. I mean the first one came out, I was around andy's age, so was I in teh second one I guess. Between the second one, coming out in 1999 or 98 or whenever, and this third one in 09, it makes sense. Im on my way to college so I guess andy should be too, I guess. But it seems like that will def. be different, but in a way it follows the path of the second one how they was talking about how andy is going to grow out of them. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Just a guess, but if TS3 follows the trend of last summer's 2nd sequels (POTC:AWE, Shrek the Third, and Spiderman 3), Woody and Buzz would enlist the help of Zurg to do something something. *shrug*

How is it jumping ahead too fast? The original Toy Story came out 13 years ago. Andy was what, 6-years-old? that would make him college-aged today (boy they grow up so fast!)

I wonder if TSM (which is set in Andy's Toy Box) will be updated after TS3 release so it will be set in the daycare? The attraction will seem a little outdated after the new movie comes out and TSM's technology would make it easy for such an adjustment, so it seems like a probable solution.

From what I've heard, the story with Andy won't be changing. The plans call for something along the lines of Buzz is recalled to his toy factory in Tawain and the others try and save him.

I think the day care is almost too depressing. They've established a connection with Andy, we like him as a character, and that would make him almost a Villian or evil influence.

We shall see. I doubt that they will make TSM with the story of Andy, just to have it blown away by Toy Story 3.

I don't know about this....considering the source is an article talking about video games.

If you read the article it states that this description was the pitch from the pitch from THQ. At the bottom of the article, it says:

When THQ made its pitch for "Toy Story 3," it was widely expected to get the contract because it has made games based on Pixar's last four movies, and is making games for some of its other coming movies.

But at Pixar's campus in Emeryville, Calif., it found itself competing with teams from Disney Interactive Studios, bolstered by recently acquired games developers.
Pixar co-founder John Lasseter, now Disney's head of animation, opted for the in-house pitch. Brian Farrell, the chief executive of THQ, said, "We would have loved to keep the business, but when you see a company like Disney scaling up we weren't surprised they went internal with it."

What makes me consider otherwise about the plot line is that there was a second...differing pitch which they don't go into detail about. Perhaps its more closely related to what the movie is going to be about?

I don't know....I'll continue to sit back and wait for more confirmed sources to come talk about the storyline before I start considering this one.

I think its following the "Buzz gets recalled" plot. I found these funny pics of new characters that were recalled also. One was this Care Bear that is called the apology bear that has a voice box problem. It probably says mean things. :ROFLOL:[/FONT]

I'm excited to see this movie. I'm a big fan of Toy Story, except the first one with that creepy kid that cut the toys up. As long as that doesn't happen again I'm sure it'll be great.

I also read on an animation site that the one guy who works for Disney believes that the plotline identified here was a Disney plotline that didn't get very far and was scrapped to do the Buzz recall version. He thinks people shouldn't get too excited about this idea
