This probably shouldn't be in the news except that, well, all trains have switched over to the new console system? Well, Blue was last, and that happened about 3-4 months ago. For those of you interested in seeing what its like to use the console....remember, only a monorail pilot can touch those buttons (a pilot touched the buttons for the pics and video). No hijacking!

I know this was meant to be a "oh wow! Monorails!" photo set.. but..

See all those door malfunctions? Not exactly making me feel safe up in the air..

^^I noticed that as well, but the problems were also corrected fairly quickly, I thought. One of the door malfunctions was even fixed in 6 seconds.

kids, kids kids. Oh little of monorails do you know.

First off, door malfunctions? They happen when the doors are trying to close and they 're-cycle'. Which means they open and close open and close till they lock in place. This happens pretty consistently on Silver and Lime I was told while in the station. The doors just don't 'open up' while you are out on the beam. The train can't leave the station if the malfunction hasn't set itself as 'clear'. Well, actually, there is a way around that I've been told, but never mind.

A few things:

1) they didn't have this electronic console system 5 years ago! Durr!

2) Since when did they have 1080i cameras back 5 years ago! Double Durr!
