How does Disney let this happen?

out to make a quick buck

I cant believe that someone would actually spend the money to purchase that auction or have the guts to put it out to bid:veryconfu :veryconfu

Life is short, Live it up, and dont give up on tomorrow cuz its not that far off!! Don’t Give Up. . .Don’t Ever Give Up on life Jim Valvano

Don't get these mixed up with the free fastpass option that everyone gets with their park ticket. That is where you go to a ride that offers fastpass and scan your park ticket. You then get another little ticket that gives you a time to come back for the ride, which is usually hours later. The problem with this is that you can only get one fastpass at a time, so you are stuck walking around or waiting in another line until the time on your fastpass. Disney also gives out only a certain number of fastpasses each day and for certain rides. These courtesy FASTPASSES, however, can be used on any ride in Magic Kingdom, whether Disney offers the standard fastpass program for it or not! These courtesy FASTPASSES have no expiration date and allow you to get immediate entry.

I've never even heard of attraction re-entry fastpasses. Do they even have these? The closest thing like this that has happened to me was on Space Mountain. The ride broke down and we sat in our rockets for about 15 minutes then we got to ride with the lights on. We were allowed immediate entry to ride again with the lights off. Also on Mission:Space... the ride broke down while we were about to get on it, so they gave us fastpasses to use later, but not those type of fastpasses.. just the regular ones.

wow 100 dollars for 8 fastpasses!

I was given some of these fastpasses when Space Mountain was having problems and when they were testing out Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor.

Aren't Fastpasses stamped with a date? Granted that CMs do not always check these for accuracy, but I wouldn't want to take the chance that they do after shelling out all that cash.

I suppose that it's true that a fool and his money are soon parted.

The passes for sale here aren't regular fastpasses. These are the kind CM's give out to people for various reasons, not the kind you get from the fastpass machine.

I liked the part where you are actually bidding on a manilla folder and that the fastpasses are a "free gift" for winning the auction. Thats funny. I can see getting the folder in the mail with a letter stating that the free gift has been changed to a sheet of white paper with the words "Sucker!!!" written on it.

This person selling the "manilla folder" should be ashamed of themselves.
It's people like this that ruin a good thing like Fast Pass. Even more amazing is someone actually paid a $150.00 for this.

If this is a CM profiteering off of their job, thats stealing. Maybe its not a CM however, there are tons of these auctions and I know darn well CM's dont give out this many fastpasses at once.

No its not - its dishonest but its no theft. Theft is when something is dishonestly obtained - selling free Fast Passes is not theft, although Disney would somewhere class it as gross negligence and probably sack the culprit
