Tarzan on Broadway Closing

This horrible show has had a longer life than I expected when I saw it. The talented cast needs an a) much needed vacation, b) some massages, and c) something better. It's also pretty traditional for Disney to close one show as they open another to conserve resources.

Yeah, I'm personally not surprised either, except that now they are closing two shows within the same month....directly across the street from each other. LOL

And too true about the cast needing massages.

It is sad, the music that Phil wrote for the movie is phenominal and the music created for the stage was very sub-par. It seemed to have lost something when created for the stage. Though it is visually good, with the bungy use through-out the show, the story and music lacked excitment.

I hope when Little Mermaid opens up it was bring back the magic that Disney is famous for on broadway. Maybe this closing will also bring forward the stage production of Hunchback to broadway.

Rumor going around is after the load out for Tarzan and an extensive renovation at the Rodgers, Beauty and the Beast will reopen there.
