Packing idea for small kids

I have an idea for packing clothes if you have small children.
Pack each outfit in a gallon size ziploc bag.
You can even label the outside of each bag if you know which outfits they will be wearing on certain days.
Then, when the clothes are dirty, you can repack them in the same ziploc bag.
This would cut down on that "dirty clothes" smell.
It would also make it easier to just grab an outfit & put it on w/o having to match clothing.

Has anyone else ever tried this?

Also works if clothes get wet, like on Kali, you can swap out a clean dry outfit for a wet clothes and the bag will keep water in so the rest of the stuff in your bag stays dry.

And I'll say it again, I use bags for diapers so they stay dry in case it rains

Hey...maybe you could give me some tips!!!
:D

I always let the kids pick the outfits (within reason :lookaroun ) and then marked each bag with their names, that way they could pick out what clothes they wanted each day...no fighting to get them dressed. :D Make sure the underwear and socks go in that bag too. I used their favorite towels with their bathing suits (and goggles), again bagged and tagged.

Make sure you put the bags away or they will get thrown out by mousekeeping. Put all hair brushes, clips, bows , toothbrushes, etc in a marked bag too. I always use a bag for any medicines you may think you need (they are too expensive to buy there) and keep that in your suitcase.
Zippy bags are good for little toys that "have to" travel with you and it gives you a place to keep them in the room, and anybody who has ever stepped on a Barbie shoe or lego in the dark will know what I mean.

Just to expand on the zip bag idea a bit...I pack everything for the parks in these bags. Full replacement outfits for both kids, each in their own bag, all medicines, ointments, etc. that we need for the day in another bag, snacks in a bag, and all camera stuff in another. Going through security is a breeze because I just open my backpack and they can see everything, don't need to go through everything and scatter it all over and I get through in about 5 seconds, and I haven't had anything fall out of my backpack!!!

Ziplock bags are great. I keep my cameras in them at the parks to keep them dry, all my essentials go in them to cut down the clutter. Clothes go in them then squish the air out for more room. If security opens your suitcase at the airport stuff can be seen but isnt all over the place. I highley recomend if you are taking you8ng children for change of clothes in the parks. Spare socks to swap out if wet or sweaty. One of the best inventions of all times.

I always pack DD's clothes this way on trips and would HIGHLY recommend it. Not only helps to keep everything organized, but it really helps me make sure I have everything. AND, in a crunch, I can hand a bag to my husband and ask him to get her dressed and everything is just right there (down to hair bows). My husband is a great man, but he comes up with some wacky outfits for our child! :)

make sure theres plenty of space in the trunk and give them something to eat and drink on the journey.

...and drive slowly over any speed bumps.

Can you check them in as luggage on the plane?:veryconfu J/K:D

Also, poke some holes for ventilation.
If they are too heavy for the plane, you can always ship them to your resort ahead of time. Then they will be waiting for you when you arrive with no worries.
