Hi,

Has anyone downloaded the Disney Link that became available when they re-vamped their web-site? If so, it's making my computer run slow and I can't figure out how to delete it.

I know someone out here may have an answer for me!!

Sorry if this is posted in the wrong spot. Didn't know quite where to put it.

Thanks!!

The reason it is dragging your computer down is because it always wants to be connected???

°o° If you don't want to delete it you can right-click on the "D" icon in your systray (area where your clock is) and select exit. This will allow you to open and close it when you don't need it. To open it goto all programs and it is listed there as Disney Link.

°o° If you want to delete all together and never access it, then goto your control panel and than Add and Remove programs and click on Disney Link and then the change/remove button.

°o° FYI...Disney Link is listed in your program files as Direct Message Lab. You can make sure that the system uninstalled if not find the folder and delete it.

I had to get rid of it too-- it was driving me crazy, my computer was dragging so slow. I figure anything worth knowing off Disney Link I will probably read about on these boards first anyway.

Ditto here. I uninstalled it after two days. I could barely run anything and it took forever to load.

Disney Link was terrible...good idea, but the programmers need to be taken out to the wood shed.

It added 4 mins to my boot-up on my laptop, and chewed through resources. I couldn't uninstall it fast enough after a week.

Again, decent idea, but crappy program...

have you ever opened up "MSCONFIG" off of your run menu. You probably have a lot more running in the background than you know (Itunes, Norton, and anything else the programmers think you might need constant updates to).

So true, go to the start up tab of MSCONFIG and you'll be amazed !

(If you can't find MSCONFIG - do a search on your computer)
