I started a thread about an epcot arcade months ago that thanks to someone who posted a link to an Epcot site, I found to be the Communicore. The link for the site is here . This was a great attraction and was replaced by Innoventions. R.I.P. Communicore.

It's a shame they replaced it with Innovations. IMHO--Innovations is a waste of space and should be closed not WoL

Yes it is a shame that Innoventions is no longer what it used to be when it opened. And even then I didn't like it nearly as much as Communicore. I just hate that I was only 10 when Communicore closed. I wish I could remember alot more of it than I do. Sure it was dated when it closed, but I think we all can agree that a rehab of what was there would have certainly been better than what we have now.

For lots of Communicore footage, download my tribute video from WDWMagic - Spaceship Earth (Cronkite) / Communicore. Apart from the bandwith cost, its free! Or get it from Disney Central.

Both Innoventions and Communicore each had their own strong points

Innoventions brought us Ice Station Cool, the awesome new plaza, and continually updated exhibits.

The main problem with Communicore is that it wasn't ever really updated. The stuff that was there was fun, but it needed to be changed once in a while. At the very least, it needed a technology upgrade.

I prefer Innoventions mainly because it kinda has a Worlds Fair theme. Communicore provided an extension to the other pavilions in Future World, but Innoventions is exposing us to a much wider variety of stuff.

In fact, the only things I really miss from Communicore are the educational stores, Expo Robotics, and the robotic t-shirt painters. Ironically, these all used to be exactly where Ice Station Cool sits today.
