I don't know if it was new, but there was a sign behind the walls that said "Character Festival" or something like that. Was that there before the lagoon was drained or is that new?

Yeah, that has been there for a while. The old queue for 20K was used as a Meet and Greet for a time.

I could swear they were gonna build something called "Top Thrill Mouseter" in Fantasyland... :hammer:

It is rumored to be,

Keep in mind, it is just a rumor. A very possible rumor.

I would hope to see a darkride there but I dont think that is going to happen :(

I too would love to see a dark ride to a classic Disney animation film. But here again, actual "rides" are going away and "simulators" are taking over. Pretty soon all theme parks might be all "simulated". That will be a sad day. :(

Much like 2-D animation, dark rides have had their day :D

Joking aside, I think there is still a place for dark rides in theme parks, but like everything, they need to evolve, whether that means things like the trackless system used at TDL for the Pooh ride, or they hybrid Spiderman ride at IOA.

Yes I agree. Why doesn't Disney use something trackless, portable and easily changeable like this? http://www.etf.nl/ride/ride.htm

Disney is still very much in the business of making dark rides. The last two new rides at Disneyland have been The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh (admittedly, not earth-shattering) and now Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters (which will be a lot of fun).

I know it's a rumor, but why can't they come up with an original attraction?

I've never seen the Snow White Show, and I'm sure it's nice, but where's the creativity?

Disappointed to here of the new musical, but it does make sense. There is talk of getting rid of Snow White the ride, so if they do add the musical, then there will be no need for it.

It seems logical to put in a live Musical Show. It should be a live 20,000 leagues under the sea show. With a dancing Captain Nemo and Giant Squid   :p

not sure I'll be able to enjoy the show if i know they are danceing on 20k's grave (sob  sob  sob  )

Whoever said something about a Treasure Planet Attraction was on to something I think. Just me but I really enjoyed that movie and there are tons of things you could do with it (Ride a ship through space rollercoaster, action adventure stage show, comic motion ride with morph, lots of good stuff)

Although the Treasure Planet ride is a good idea, that is a little more Tomorrowlandish, don't you thik? We're trying to fill the spot of the 20K Lagoon, not The COP! LONG LIVE COP!!!

I know I'm in the minority here, but I'd much rather they put 2 lower key dark rides, like Pinnichio or Alice in Wonderland and something like the Casey Jr. Circus Train and then use the remaining budget to "spiff up" Toontown.

Fantasyland doesn't need an E Ticket, it needs more rides. Peter Pan and Pooh have lines equivalent to E Tickets.

But 20K was an E Ticket. Why shouldn't its replacement be of the same quality?
