WELCOME!
...To the first concept pitch meeting for Walt Disney's Dream Kingdom Resort! An Innovative new theme park and resort complex.
But this is not just any resort complex...

Here, "we have something special we never enjoyed at Disneyland...the blessing of size. There's enough land here to hold all the ideas and plans we can possibly imagine."
The trouble recently has become that Florida is too big, Disneyland is too small, and a huge focus has been put on International expansion. So the question has become how to cater to the key American Demographic, while still expanding internationally, and today I deliver the answer.
Walt Disney's Dream Kingdom Resort!
Location: Lucaya Port, Bahamas.
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/64751999@N07/5895298547/" title="Map by TipTopClub, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5199/5895298547_f222c4f084_m.jpg" width="240" height="92" alt="Map"></a>
That's Right. An Island in the middle of the Caribbean Sea.
Why The Bahamas?
Besides the Basic Key International Expansion points, Disney Cruise Line is also undergoing an aggressive expansion right now, and has become a key point in the Parks and Resorts business. Lucaya Port, Located on Grand Bahama Island, one of the Northernmost islands of the Bahamas, is only About 60-70 Miles away from Castaway Cay, Our Private Island for guests of Disney Cruise Line Only.
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/64751999@N07/5895302227/" title="disney_cruise_logo by TipTopClub, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5275/5895302227_712bc09ef7.jpg" width="290" height="151" alt="disney_cruise_logo"></a>
According the Blue Sky Ideas for the pitch, this would also be added as a Destination for all Disney Cruise Line Itineraries in this region. As well as being the new home port for the Disney Dream, (Of Course this would be after the Disney Fantasy comes online, with it's Home Port being Port Canaveral).
This would also represent an expansion point for Adventures by Disney, with the opportunity to run our Recreation Divisions, with opportunities for Snorkeling at some prime locations, such as the nearby Peterson Cay National Park, a protected area, and celebrated diving location.
Politically, the Country is an ally, with a stable government, similar to that of our other ally Great Britain, and is already a tourism based Economy.
The government of The Bahamas would also play a key role in the development of this resort complex.
This island, is actually fairly far away, from the main Bahamian port and capital city of Nassau, but the area we are looking at building into is fairly well developed, but it would need several infrastructure changes to support a resort like this.
The Main resort area is already well developed and a proven tourist haven, but since 2008, tourism has steadily begun to drop on the island, blamed mostly on the island's American Tourists who have been hit by the economic decline.

-Already Well Developed Tourism Districts
As far as getting help from the government, I can't imagine it would be a problem as this would mean hefty amounts of new jobs, new infrastructure, and a boost in their tourism. The Bahamas are already the third richest country in the Americas (after The United States and Canada) and this can only help their already impressive tourism numbers.
Obviously in exchange for the infrastructure improvements (which we would need to work closely on) the Bahamian Government would become the second Largest stakeholder in the resort, and would become the biggest investor in the project.
Some of the basic necessities needed would be widening of local highways (specifically the Grand Bahama, and East Sunrise Highways) as well as Bridge repair. And an expansion of the Grand Bahama International airport.
Speaking of the Airport, this would be the place that many of the guests of the proposed resort would begin their experience, so Disney would heavily influence the design of the new expansion, as well as working with corporate sponsors Mears and Alamo on Transportaion to and From the Resort to the Airport.
But enough about the basics, what is this resort? And how does it differ from the other resorts.
The Main attraction of the resort would of course be our World Class Disney Parks. But what kind of park? We’ve moved forward, and expanded out of the basic Disneyland design and the industry has come leaps and bounds since then, as has Disney as a company. The Walt Disney Company of today deserves something in this resort that no one else can claim.
The World’s Largest Theme Park.
One day, I was walking through Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park in the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, and thought, “Boy, I’d love to ride Space Mountain Now.” But alas, that would have required me to hop in my car and drive to a different park across property.
That’s lost business.
That’s lost attendance.
That’s just a hassle for our guests.
One of the biggest problems with expanding our resorts has been that we start small, with the intent of expanding in the future, and obviously that’s a business necessity, we have the most unique theme parks in the world, and that’s expensive. But here, all the best Disney Ideas would be packed into one park. Not four parks, not three parks, not two, one gigantic theme park.
The World’s Largest Theme Park.
And not just a theme park, truly the most spectacular immersive environments you’ve ever seen.
Over the course of this pitch, you’ll be taken into the heart of Disney Fantasy, Walt Disney’s Vision of the Future, From the American Frontier, to the Savannas of East Africa, from the Swashbuckling Pirates of the Caribbean, to the star ports of the future.
Walt Disney’s Dream Kingdom Park would feature FIFTEEN Themed lands. Of course the basics would be present, Fantasyland, Tomorrowland, Adventureland, as well as old favorites like New Orleans Square and World Showcase, and new projects like Radiator Springs and Mysterious Island.
The theme park would feature updated versions of Classic Disney Attractions from around the world, as well as a showcase for new Technology, and brand new attractions that we hope will become Disney Standards in the Century to come.
Beyond the Theme park, Eight Resort Hotels will be built, as well as three shopping and Dining Complexes, And Two outdoor Recreation areas. And the resort itself will be right on the beautiful sandy beach of the Caribbean Sea.
This will truly be a Vacation Destination like no other, something that people from all walks of life, everywhere will want to see and be a part of.
I can’t wait to share all of this with you, and hope you’ll come along for the ride with me. Let’s get started shall we!
------------------------------------------------------------
Okay folks, this is my pitch for a brand new park and resort, and while this isn’t quite “Open Brainstorming” the best ideas always come from a group, so PLEASE folks, I encourage you to help me out, give ideas and more. I should hopefully have some layout sketches and concept art coming soon!
Let me know what you think!
WELCOME!
