Although the houses are nostalgic to me, I don't think I'm sad about them going. They were supposed to be temporary and well, I'm somewhat excited to see how Mickey and the gang will be incorporated into the Main Street area.

Despite everyone's excitement on this thread about the houses going, I know my son will be disappointed not to visit them anymore. Does anyone know exactly when they will be gone? We'll be down in July, so I would like to prepare him in advance if they are gone. Thanks!

Well construction walls behind Toontown are up, and they have already begun construction on Mickey and the gang's new home over at Main Street so, it may be closed by then, but who knows...

Maybe it's my way of thinking, but perhaps TTF should be the last to head behind the refurb walls.

More time with fams and their kids before Dumbo invades ToonTown.

I completely agree. TTF should be kept open as long as they possibly can. MK can't afford to lose any capacity

It would have been great if they replaced Toontown with that MIckeyville concept for a more "Brave Little Tailor" inspired Toontown type area. Maybe not exact location wise, but somewhere in the expansion.

I would love to see Mickeyville become a reality! I think it could have given DL's ToonTown a run for its money

Heck, they could take the concept further and have a Wizards of Mickey attraction of some sort.

That just makes me really sad... It's amazing the things that WDI creates but never become reality.

Not particularly. I always thought they looked kind of cheesy and temporary - and they weren't always the best kept. Our Toontown was never that impressive - I can be totally honest and say I won't really miss it at all.

Im not all that sad to see it go. I also think that toontown was lacking. It could have been pretty cool but instead they opted to leave it an underwhelming meet and greet.

It's like Disneyland's in a different time and on Steroids. I love it...and it would be awesome in DHS.
