Christmas Carol

Let me start with I'm a Disney World nut, my wife is a Christmas Carol nut. She picked me up at 3:30 yesterday after work (movie theater is 1/2ml. away). She wanted a good seat for the 4:30 show. We sat down as the credits from the fist show were running. The family in front of us (still watching the credits, told us "It was great" and "Were going to see it again!" Well there not the only one's, we'll be back to see it again too! That's all I need to say.

That's great to hear. I'm quite anxious to see it.

Saw it last night - absolutely loved it. But be warned, some parts are a little intense for small children - this is definitely not the Muppets. There was a guy beside me with his grandkids - I'm guessing 3,4,5 years old. He ended up with all 3 of them on his lap when Marley's ghost arrived.

That being said, Jim Carrey did a wonderful job, and I'm not a fan of him AT ALL. The 3D effects were great, and the overall graphics were superb. I thought a couple of the scenes were overdone and dragged on a little too long, but overall, a really great piece of work. Kudos to the Disney animators. I would go see it again, and it will be added to my video collection when it comes out - I may even splurge on the Blu-Ray edition.

I support your reviews. I did think Carrey mastered Scrooge and I really couldn't tell it was him playing the three other ghosts - a testament to the special effects! I also thought the film lived up to the novel in a way that few other films have in the past. I totally agree that it should be added to a Christmas collection.

Did anyone see it in IMAX?
